This site does not make it easy to review a very solid feather in Terreros' cap ... to muddle my metaphors. The historic castle above the nearby town of Aguilas is all very impressive in its own right and involves some climbing. The views of Aguilas are very good but ... The views from the castle with the same name in Terreros are exceptional on a clear day - you can't see forever quite, but can take in views north-east to Cabo Cope to the start of the Cabo de la Gata national park. Close by, off the rugged coastline, are Terreros' two islands: Isla Negra and Isla de Terreros. Sunsets are a delight. Arguably, the best attraction in Terreros is free. You can drive up to the 18th century castle, but it's walkable if you're a little fit. There's a restaurant at the top too to relax with a drink or meal. My five stars are aimed more at the Castillo in Terreros - I'd give four to that of Aguilas.
