At FlyTicino we organize wonderful paragliding flights in Ticino! We fly because we love paragliding and the joy of sharing emotions with our passengers. No stress, no thoughts about making as many flights as possible and no limit to the duration of the flight! By chasing the right thermal currents, we will try to extend the flight duration as much as possible, to climb in altitude and enjoy with our passengers views that are normally only reserved for the birds!
Flying with Federico is something I highly recommend to anyone who wants to try a new experience, while at the same time being in the hands of a professional and very friendly person - I felt so safe and comfortable with Federico. After me, a friend and my sister also flew with him and they still talk about it today, it was truly an incredible experience for us all. I would definitely do this again, thank you Federico :-)

The Hermann Hesse Museum was established in the rooms of the Torre Camuzzi, in Montagnola, Switzerland in 1997. This ancient tower is part of the picturesque Casa Camuzzi where Hermann Hesse lived between 1919 and 1931. From his apartment, he had a marvellous view overlooking the lake of Lugano.
Obviously a lot Hesse's personal belongings have vanished in the meantime; so the museum looked a bit generic. To see some of his letters/correspondences was nice though. I was surprised though, to see that the whole museum was in German and Italian; and only limited info in English. His son's paintings were nice. Honestly, expected a lot more from the house of such a prominent author of the 20th century.

A very special place. The pictures do not really do it justice and the view of a clear day is majestic. You almost feel you are on a plane. Getting here was quite a job through a long and very tortuous road but if you love your high aerial views then this is a must. If you have transport consider also going to near the cable car station at Pigra which has a more limited but similarly spectacular view of Como. Also the platform by the Swiss Flag seems to be a favoured toilet venue for the local goats so best have a sturdy pair of shoes to really comfortably enjoy the views.

I was visitting the Lido in start september, so it was out of high season. There was about 20 people on the Lido, but there was space for a lot more. There was a free entry (because of the season i think), and the sunbeds was 5 each. So this is ok.
There is a restaurant with good prices at the place.

Lots of parking available close to the zoo and another big parking just a minute walk away. The people working there spoke English too and were very kind. Do not expect tons of animals but in a small scale it's a fun morning. Kids will enjoy it.

Minigolf Caslano seems to be the only mini golf in the Lugano area. We took the train from Lugano to Caslano - the mini golf is quite a long walk from Caslano station. It is in a small park with other attractions for children and a kiosk serving snacks. It doesn't llok very much from the outside but it is deceptively difficult and took longer than expected. The whole family enjoyed it. One word of caution - the only toilets are in the car park across the road and they are pretty awful - no toilet seats and no soap.

Switzerland in miniature!Swissminiatur is an open-air miniature park located on the shore of Lake Lugano. There are more than 120 models at scale 1:25 representing the most important buildings, monuments and transportation means in Switzerland. A 3,560m long model railway with 18 trains runs through the park. Self–service restaurant with local, Italian, authentic Chinese and Indian cuisine. Gift shop and playground for children. Small passenger train with route around the park. Large car and bus park available. Open daily from mid March to end October, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Nice little place to visit. Good for children as also has bumper cars and mini train ride. Lots of miniature detailed Swiss landmarks and buildings that are quite interesting. Not a massive place though so can do in approx 1-1.5 hours. Cost to get in was 39 euros for two adults but we picked up their leaflet at the airport and if you present this you get a 5 euro discount.

Great shopping for the Lugano area. If you are in a rush you want to park at the "autosilo" (paying parking lot), easier then to find a free spot around the shopping center
