Combining luxurious comfort with an atmosphere of tranquility, The Spa at Barnsley Resort is a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation. Just as Godfrey Barnsley created an unexpected Southern oasis with botanicals from around the world in the 1800s, our expert therapists, estheticians and technicians pair nature's healing remedies with the latest techniques for massage and body treatments as well as facials and beauty services. Spa packages are available in addition to manicures and pedicures. Day spa guests are welcome to enjoy services at The Spa at Barnsley Resort. We have recently claimed this page, but note that our primary business listing is at Barnsley Resort.
I have been to the spa twice. The first time was a 60 minute massage and mani/pedi. The massage was wonderful and probably the best I've ever had. The mani/pedi was probably the worst I've ever had. They are very expensive and do not have the spa style chairs with jacuzzi foot tubs. They didn't offer any kind of gel polish and the Polish they used came off the very next day. You get a much better deal and a much better manicure at an actual nail salon.
The hot tub and sauna/steamrooom are nice and you can use them before or after your appointments.
My second visit was a 90 minute massage and a 60 minute facial. Again the massage was great and the facial was average. All the products sold in the spa store are very expensive. I bought a small jar of facial cream for $100 and would have been just as satisfied with a $20 product from the drugstore. All in all it is a nice atmosphere and the massages are wonderful. I wouldn't pay for any of the other services again.

We have recently claimed this page, but note that our primary business listing is at Barnsley Resort.
We only visited for the day since it was a beautiful day and we wanted a break from driving down 75.
There is a $10 fee for entering but they waive it if you eat at the restaurants. We decided to go horseback riding and eat at the beergarden. There was a short 30 minute wait for the horse so we had a beer and played games at the building next door. The staff at the activity building was friendly but did not explain to us our trip options or the prices. At the restaurant the food was just ok. I suggest just getting a drink and playing games.
When our horses were ready a staff member came in a golf cart and drove is to and from the stables. The grounds were not well kept and the horses were not well trained. Both of our horses were more interested in eating than walking and did not listen well to direction despite being an experienced rider. Our guide mentioned they were rescue horses. The $75 per person horse ride was expensive for they type of horse experience but the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Took my 11 year old on a family trip to Tellus Saturday afternoon. Extensive grounds, old mining equipment/trucks and the most gemstones and rocks in one place! There were hands on opportunities and an interesting cell phone replacement exhibit that had kids attempting rotary phone...MoreThank you for your kind 5 dot review! We are especially pleased to hear you were able to see the special exhibit The World at Your Fingertips, as it is only on exhibit through June 10, 2018.

The town of New Echota served as the Capital for the Cherokee Nation from 1825 to their removal during the Trail of Tears in the late 1830's. The 17-minute film in the visitor center explained that they had a government similar to ours and a written newspaper. As we toured the 12 buildings including the Council House, a Cherokee farm, the Print Shop and a tavern, we got a sense of how the town was laid out.
What really impressed us the most was the volunteer in the Print Shop. He demonstrated how workers would get the small type out of the cabinets, set up each column and ink the press to create the weekly Cherokee newspaper. He also explained the nuances about the Cherokee language.
Our teens enjoyed the site as they learned about the Trail of Tears in school. I liked that we could actually walk into many of the buildings and the cost was reasonable. It should be noted that currently the site is only open Wednesdays through Saturdays.

Open since October 2015 the General store features many locally produced products. Additionally the selection of gourmet coffees and teas are very interesting. A different gourmet coffee is brewed every day and is available for purchase by the cup. An extensive selection of incredible spices are a must see. The small bakery selection is delicious. My favorite are the Snicker Doodles. Though on Saturdays a Blue Berry muffin with a cup of the coffee is a great way to start off the day. Their selection of cheeses are excellent and change frequently. Open Monday through Saturday.

Stopped in at Coach, Rack Room Shoes, Bealls and Bath & Body Works. Didn't buy anything but there are plenty of stores to choose from. One of my favorites is Kitchen Essentials. Ann Taylor, Dress Barn, Nike, Vanity Fair, Lane Bryant, Tommy Hilfiger among others. There is something there for everyone in most budgets. Worth driving through to see if there's anything appealing to you.

Sunflower festival: watermelon eating contest, sunflower princess pageant, cutting sunflowers, hay rides Corn maze and pumpkin patch: pony rides, cow train, pumpkin princess pageant, giant slides, jumping pillow, live pig races, monster cannon Christmas on the farm: Santa and elves, journey on polar express, live nativity, barnyard animals.
I was hoping for more after I saw pumpkin patch advertisement last fall. I was hoping the for some fun at the Sunflower festival. It was a soundingggg NO in entertainment! First of all, I'm 57 years old. And I also understand this whole farm is designed around the kids:) So, what is the value to me to pay a $12 admission fee? Nothing. Both my wife and granddaughter paid $15 each so they could do a few extra things:(Laughable).........So, let's begin. I liked what the they are doing with the property in decorations, props and building designs:) Their best function is the gem mine, but one bucket per person was a little weak. The cattle ride or whatever you call it is a a bunch of small train cars pulled by a tractor. The road they pull you around is like Beirut Lebonon, it is bumpy as allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll get out:( So, why do the hayride, can't be much better and it travels on the same poor conditioned road:( Hey, we have a pig race and we shoot one watermelon out of a home made cannon. Both over almost before you sit down and really just weak carny stuff:( The bouncy area is a nice touch:) no covering so HOT on a kids feet:( Like the barn slide:) But again, the plastic can be HOT because of no covering:( Did not understand the corn on the floor in the barn play area:( the mice at night probably show up like a smorgasbord:(:( IT IS A FARM! They have two ponies for rides and one looks worn out:( two other small ones to look at. They also have a rabbit pen and a few other animals. Maybe the draw is the sunflower field:) Have seen better, but we have also not had much rain. But here is the kicker, they wanted another $5 for a yellow bucket so you could pick some:) STILL lol at that one! Maybe the best one was charging $2 for a cup of water:):):):) C'MON MAN! Was the $15 fee worth taking a kid, I will give them the YES through a kids eye's:) For adults to pay $15 each to do nothing or little to nothing other than walk around with your kid is no value. You want return guests:) Will I return come pumpkin season, nooooooooooooooooooo. One last thing, little and few staff to assist with question once your in the farm:( Heard others say the same things:(
We are a family run petting zoo where the animals are an extention of the family. Scottish Highland Cow, alpaca, sheep, goats, donkey, pig, ponies, horses, chickens and bunnies all call EverAfter Farm their home along with a few humans too. Arrange for pony and cart rides for the family or just hang out with the animals.
