Aberlour (Scottish Gaelic: Obar Lobhair), is the name of a town in Moray, Scotland, 12 miles (20 km) south of Elgin on the road to Grantown. A burn (stream), the Lour burn is a tributary of the River Spey, and the surrounding parish, are both named Aberlour, but the name is most commonly used in reference to the village which straddles the stream and flanks the Spey – although the full name of the village is Charlestown of Aberlour.

Nestled at the foot of Ben Rinnes, in the heart of Speyside, lies The GlenAllachie Distillery (Est 1967). Acquired in 2017, The GlenAllachie Distillery is 100% Scottish owned and managed, making us one of the few independently owned distilleries in Scotland. The most exciting part of rediscovering a brand is learning about the depth, character and quality that lies deep within each cask - we've unlocked an exceptional single malt, do you dare to discover? VISITOR CENTRE OPENING HOURS: October 2020 Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-4pm.
Amazing tasting with Graham and Karen. With the unknowns around COVID at the moment we had booked in to do a tour and tasting and had great communication from Karen beforehand. On the day of the tasting we were warmly greeted by Graham and Karen and followed the COVID secure rules. The tasting included 4 drams and a wee glass to take away. Graham ran the tasting and his knowledge was fantastic , guiding us through a virtual tour of the distillery and the tasting of the drams. He was full of whisky knowledge and could answer all our questions. The handmade still & mash tun were brilliant. In the shop the service was equally as friendly and it ended a wonderful visit to the distillery. Would highly recommend a visit.

Share with us the story of the only malt distillery pioneered by a woman. The malt whisky produced here has a warmth and cleanliness of taste which experts describe as "silky" and is used in some of the award winning Johnnie Walker blends.
The Cardhu Distillery was the highlight of our trip! My husband and I did the Collection Tour and found it to be most enlightening. Our guide was friendly and highly experienced as she had been at Cardhu Distillery for 22 years. The guide tutored us in the nosing and tasting of 6 different whiskies. The tour of the whisky making process was amazing as well. I will add that getting to feed digestives (cookies) to the three highland cows in residence there was incredible too (Fluffy was my favorite though)!

Thoroughly enjoyed our order from the Spey Larder again this year - excellent quality as ever. It has become a family tradition to put in an advance order to collect on Christmas Eve and enjoy a trip to the village. We use the deli year round and have found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable about their huge array of produce. The ideal way to stock up on all those delicacies which make the Boxing Day buffet very easy on the cook. Good range of quality cheese and deli items as well as an array of food related gift items - a Speyside gem. Wishing the team well in 2021!

Located in the lovely Speyside village of Aberlour just off the main street - an absolute paradise of Walker's goodies ! All so, so tempting, and even more tempting are the shelves of supposed factory rejects at fantastic prices - shortbread, cakes, mincemeat pies, biscuits at amazing prices. Lovely displays and friendly staff too. A great place to visit.
