Suspension railway closed down The Suspension railway is closed down temporary. Please use the „SchwebebahnExpress“ for your ride between Vohwinkel and Oberbarmen. The replacement transport stops at immediate proximity to the stations. At central station (Doppersberg) all buses stop at the Bundesallee (B7). The busstop towards Oberbarmen is located in front of the business school (Handelsschule) below the Intercity-Hotel. Towards Vowhwinkel the buses stop at the crossing „Brausenwerth“.
This type of tram line is the coolest thing I ever seen before. I think it is unique in Europe. Definitely you need to buy a ticket and to get a tour with this amazing tram.

22 km long bike-, foot- and inlinepath on an former railroad track. It includes 5 illuminated tunnels up to 720 m long and 20 bridges and old brick viaducts spanning more than 2.000 m. Beautiful scenery and stunning views over Wuppertal. A handcar is still operated on Sundays or on request.

It is an indispensble means of public transport in Wuppertal and has a very high frequency service. You never wait longer than 5 minutes. The views are terrific!
