We just found this gem of a souvenir shop by coincidence and I must say that if you want to buy some really nice handcrafted souvenirs this is the place to go. The owner is more than friendly and sells his goods for a very reasonable price! We bought two lovley handpainted elephants, and he instantly gave us a discount. Places like these make souvenir shopping a pleasant time. Two thumbs up! :)

Amba Estate is an organic farm in the Uva Highlands of Sri Lanka. The farm is about 30 minutes drive from Ella, perched in a small valley above the Ravana-Ella Waterfalls, with views of Ella Rock and Lipton Seat. We produce a range of artisanal teas, coffees, spices and preserves, and we work with the local community to support a variety of educational, economic and environmental projects. We offer guests the opportunity to stay in one of the old Estate bungalows, learn more about artisanal tea-making, and enjoy our little corner of paradise. We offer tours of the farm and artisanal tea and coffee production every day at 11am. The tour is free, and you can also do a tea tasting after the tour for Rs.600 per person. No need to book ahead – just turn up.
We just spent three nights at Amba Estates Tea Farm/B&B and were thoroughly enchanted and pleased. The people are incredibly friendly from staff, to owners, to guides. We enjoyed wonderful Sri Lankan meals, great hikes including one at sunrise, and an informative tour of the tea, coffee, clove, and cinnamon fields which ended with a tea tasting. We happened to be there over Christmas and loved the kids Christmas pageant. Would love to go back!!!

We provide safe, comfortable, trustful, friendly taxi service to you. We are always flexible to your needs and requirements. Our drivers are friendly, helpful and safe drivers. Our taxi service is since in Ella many years ago.
Our train from Ella to Colombo got canceled to due to unfortunate weather related event,(risk taken during rainy season ) but Ella Taxi Service provided us away to get back to Colombo. Gemini was a fantastic driver, he knew the road and places that was along the way that had stunning mountain views and great places to stop for quick bites. The drive was 5hr. long, but the conversation and depth of information he shared about other Sri Lankan must see made the time hi by quicker. Overall his responsible and safe driving along with the shared conversations made the mornings unfortunate event more of a blessing. Excellent service! Thanks Gamini!

Great cooking class, Priya was so lovely and made the cooking class great fun. We cooked a variety of delicious dishes including pumpkin curry and eggplant salad (amazing and I normally Hate eggplant and pumpkin so was very pleased) we cooked with 4 other people which was a nice small group. The price was 2000kr which was a great deal because we were very full afterwards and also had a great experience during the class. Also loved that that Priya sent us the recipes plus multiple other recipes at the end of the night as well

We expert for cooking classes,if you like to enjoy our foods come & see the difference.
This was up there with the best evening we had in Sri Lanka. An incredible chef/host who taught us so much. We learnt how to use different pressings of coconut milk from a fresh coconut and then made 4 different curries (red lentil, pumpkin, aubergine and green bean) along with coconut roti and dip (all vegetarian). Cooking lasted around 90 mins and then you sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour. By far the tastiest thing we've eaten all trip! You have all the recipes emailed to you, and we can't wait to go home and start cooking them ourselves. Also just great cooking tips in general. Please don't miss out.

It was a wonderful experience to visit this attraction. The Buddhist monk on site explained the history of the bridge. It is a fascinating part of Sri Lanka’s history. The location is a bit of off track, several kilometres from Badulla. If you are into history, this is a must visit location.
