Trabzon Province (Turkish: Trabzon ili) is a province of Turkey on the Black Sea coast. Located in a strategically important region, Trabzon is one of the oldest trade port cities in Anatolia. Neighbouring provinces are Giresun to the west, Gümüşhane to the southwest, Bayburt to the southeast and Rize to the east. The provincial capital is Trabzon city, and the traffic code is 61. The major ethnic groups are Turks, but the province is also home to a minority of Muslim Romeika-speakers, though younger speakers are not always fluent in this language.

Stunning building with a beautiful garden and amazing views. Very interesting to see the antique furniture in each room along with lots of images of Atatürk

This is a beautiful big cave in the mountain with a long walk inside with some well preserved colored stalactites and small waterfalls.

Definitely a beauty! I have enjoyed the walk there, weather was a bit cold because it’s a very high area, there are variety if restaurants and cafes where you can sit and enjoy the view with your family, friends or as couples.

Aya Sofia is currently closed for renovation, as are most sights in Trabzon, such as the museum and Sumela monastery. However it is still worth a visit because you can walk around the outside and take in this amazing sight. The cafe is also a nice place to relax and see the view Hopefully I can return to see the inside in the future.
