April 10, 2022 Roseanne Arnett

In wintertime, lovely Seefeld in Tirol channels the fairytale magic of a Christmas village. Located on a plateau amid mountains and valleys, it’s an ideal place for snow sports, particularly cross-country skiing. In fact, several Olympic and World Championship competitions have been held here. Off-season, the crisp mountain air and epic views make for excellent alpine hiking. When you’re ready for refreshment, you can’t go wrong with schnitzel and a local beer at one of the area’s charming restaurants.

Had a fab service with ski equipment hire (5 Days) for our group of six people (two children) and friendly professional ski instructor Vitalij and Susanne in the shop. We are beginner level skiers and there is a perfect hill and not crowded ski lift just across the road from Susanne's shop. We had an amazing ???? experience and some of us even overcome a fear of heights! Thanks to our instructor Vitalij.

Our shop is situated just next to the meeting point of ski school Seefeld next to the Geigenbühel-skilift. Ideally located closeby to the skibus station (less than 100 mts.) to reach the skiing areas Rosshütte and Gschwandkopf by skibus in a minimum of time. Our rental equipment is fitted to each of our guests individually - from searching the right model and size of ski boots, choosing the right length and type of skis to the competent and professional adjustment of the safety ski-binding and periodically checks. Of course, our skis are always top-serviced, and if you'll hit a stone on the ski slope, it's no problem - with our modern ski servicing machines we will do this ,,pit stop" for you quickly and experienced. We stayed in Seefeld and were recommeded to rent ski gear from Modern Ski. We were able to quickly organise hiring skis and a helmet and purchasing some well priced googles for myself. We were able to store the skis at Modern ski shop over night for no extra charge which made it so much easier for us just to grab the gear on the way each day to go skiing. Shop is located a short few mins walk to the free bus that takes you to the ski lifts. Great service, good quality gear, and competitive prices. Thanks for helping us have an awesome ski experience in Austria!

Whilst visiting Seefeld for a couple of days I found this activity on TA & our the hotel where we were staying was organising a trip for Fri but by the time I found this out it was sold out. Going on line I found that they where only open Fri & Sat with 2 walks on Fri but only 1 on the Sat. We were flying back Sat morning so would be unable to do the Sat walk. So on the off chance they had a cancellation I phoned on the Fri, spoke with a very nice chap called Florin ( very goog English ) who informed me that they had just 2 places left for evening lantern walk that day, perfect ! Although the Alpaca farm was only a 25 min walk from our hotel in the centre of Seefeld or a 10min bus ride we decided to take 1 of the horse drawn carriages which took us on a 40min scenic ride through the woods to our destination, absolutely magical. Once at the farm we were greeted warmly by our hosts & introduced to the Alpacas. After a short talk about the Alpacas, where they originate from & a history of the farm we were allocated an Alpaca 1 per couple. We was fortunate that Jacob, the Alpha may had taken a shine to my fiancè, so we lead the group out of the farm & on to the tracks. Alpacas like to walk slowly so although the walk takes about an hour you don't go very far. The 1st part of the walk was on the road downhill to the village & was easy. The return was via the snow covered cross country sking track through the woods which although lovely was a bit more challenging especially for the very youngest of our group. The walk through the woods by lantern light with the Alpacas is an experience I will never forget & we think ourselves very lucky to have been able to do this. Nadin & Florian could not have been more helpfull, even organising a taxi back to our hotel. Although we were not organised enough to have taken advantage of the free trip courtesy of the guest card I was more than happy with the €50 I paid for the 2 of us. I highly recommend you do this if you are in the area at any time but to avoid disappointment make sure you book otherwise you may not be as lucky as we were!@@! 5☆

Me and the family have been several times already in this indoor swimming pool and fun place. There is also a wellness area, which is apparently very good, but i have never been there so will not comment on it. The Swimmingpools and the area around with the two partially in partially outdoor slides is great. Kids always have fun and you could easily spend the 4h, which are offered with a ticket. I think normally is enough and good value for the money. There is of course a daily ticket as well, but we never used. There is also a underground garage there and you get discount with the entry ticket- very convenient and i would recommend. Be careful with the slides, especially with the wild one - i am aware of few cases when even adults got injured. Respect the signs with the age restriction and don’t let small kids alone, you can have fun together for sure as well. The price of the tickets is not low, but i think fair also having in mind that Seefeld is a very touristic place. I warmly recommend the outdoor pool, especially on a sunny day in early spring- the view with the mountains and snow and all the rest around is just amazing. Last but not least- it is almost in the middle of the village and one can combine the activity with having a walk or dinner afterwards in the cosy village, especially in the Christmas time. We really like the place and would definitely come again.

This is our second year bringing our son, now 5 years old, to Seefeld for a Christmas holiday. He’s been to the ski school both times and we cannot praise the staff highly enough. From his ski instructors, Sabine and Halley, to the children’s coordinators, Helena and Hilde, we felt their kind and generous concern for our son on both occasions. We watched him progress well and appreciated the opportunity to have him socialize with other children over a hot lunch each day he was there. We will certainly be coming back to Seefeld and give the School our highest recommendation for children. In addition, we took private lessons for Alpine (downhill) and Cross Country skiing. Our instructors were amazing!
