Well I think the botanical garden is a great place to go walk, with family, alone, its just amazing. It is not just a garden where you go see plants and thats it, you can actually interact with different activities or services that this garden provides you. You can take pictures and learn about the different plants that you can find there. This garden also provides a lot of different cultural activities such as concerts along the year, movie nights and other different events. Recently this place has been remodelated for a better experience for the people go. Schools also can have access to this center by going on a learning trip, this includes a person wich gives you the tour of all the center it very cool. In this garden you can also do excercise by running around the garden and there are also groups of crossfit training, in wich you can sign up.

Rincon de Guayabitos

Village to the north of Puerto Vallarta.

Thought it was great. People are mostly from Canada and the mexicans are very respectful. (no grabbing you into the market). Canadians have started bottle/can recycling there and twice a year they spay/neuter dogs they find. Beautiful despite the poverty. I recommend taking peso's NOT american money. (no one knows how to do the exchange rates). Not much if you are looking for excitement, but we went to a beautiful beach we had almost to ourselves and roasted hot dogs right there. The different birds/plants etc were awesome. Great body surfing on the beaches. We rented a place that was very reasonable. I enjoyed it.

Catedral Mazatlan Basilica de la Inmaculada Concepcion

Located in downtown Mazatlan, the architecture makes it well worth a visit.

Reviewed By TravelOffPath - Kelowna, Canada

The Mazatlán Cathedral (formally known as The Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception) is a gorgeous Baroque-Revival style Church in the middle of downtown’s ‘Centro’ area. Construction started on this church is 1856 but didn’t finish until 1899, due do financial troubles within the church. The outside is painted a lovely yellow, while the inside is uniquely ornate with chandeliers, wood, marble and gold. Sometimes the church is closed to the public for Catholic weddings, but most of the time you’ll find it open to wander inside. Tip: A very interesting fact about its history is that the Jewish Community actually stepped in and funded the completion of the church, and in turn had the Star of David put into some of the windows. See if you can find them! Cost: free. But it’s always appreciated to leave a contribution to the church. How to get there: Type ‘Mazatlán Cathedral' into Google Maps or Uber. Walkable from cruise port. Address: 21 de Marzo, Centro

like vast, it stretches for miles and miles and can you say uncrowded, oh my goodness, not a soul in sight and even if there were, there's more than enough room for all so picturesque, the sparkly ocean at its side, with mountains and hills its backdrop remarkably unspoilt in its pristine coastal location its golden fine sands make it perfect for walking and running (just don't cross it in the afternoon!) with great caution advised - the crashing waves at its shoreline demand respect make it spectacular and magnificent all the same the perfect place to lose yourself and just breathe grateful to experience such wondrous beauty!!
