We as a family of four have just had three private lessons with Luca.. she was so kind and patient with all of us who are different abilities. In particular so very caring to our son who did his first blue run and her words of encouragement helped him no end. A very professional young lady who we would highly recommend anytime. This is an extremely well managed ski school with excellent communication at all times. We would highly recommend

Ski and Snowboard School in Mayrhofen Group and private lessons for Children and Adults of all Levels.
I visited Mayrhofen in January and booked my ski instruction through SMT, My ski instructor was Frederik Johannessen. Not having skied previously I was a little apprehensive but very excited, I need not have been concerned. Frederik was an excellent instructor and took me through the basics and I was soon learning how to ski under control. By the end of the week I was negotiating blue and red slopes with confidence and control, Frederik was patient and his level of instruction was second to none, he is a credit to SMT and I hope to return soon to continue my learning with Frederik.

I have been visiting Mayrhofen Summer and Winter since 1980’s. The walking trails are brilliant. Easy to follow, regular stopping places to admire the view, different levels of ability. It is fun catching the bus to Branberg then walking back down along the Zillertal valley.

Good ski slopes and facilities. For all ages and different levels of skiers. It can be really crowded during the holiday but otherwise the slopes are wide.

Feel compelled to write this glowing review of our Snowboarding Instructor James. He was such a nice guy, always smiling and full of really good knowledge in bringing snowboarding principles into practice. If your heading to Mayrhofen and want to snowboard, ask for James! Thanks again mate for a great few days.

There are lots of trails to explore, with small alpine lakes with glorious views. Sit and enjoy a drink or a meal on the terrace of one of the restaurants . Climb up the Wanglespitze, and if you have time, continue up the Rastkogel.

The Aktiv Card takes passengers as far a Ginzling, then an additional toll of 1.70 Euros is payable for the Mautstrasse the toll road which passes along a breathtaking narrow gorge, through tunnels and up through hairpin bends to the lake. The dam is awesome and the lakes is surrounded by mountains, glaciers and waterfalls. A stroll up the Zamsergrund is pleasant and not too strenuous.

I have been to Mayrhofen a few times and Love the Ahorn , blue runs for learners , a few reds and the Longest run that starts blue onto Red then black to the bottom back to the village Depending on how good of skier you are the complete run down is Class and gives you great view over Mayrhofen , it’s a black so expect Ice and steepness !!! But Highly recommend Mayrhofen and the Ahorn Can also just go for a walk and see the view from the top there’s a viewing point and bars/ cafes & ice bar
