Our trip with Jordan was so memorable. You may think you know what flamingos look like, but seeing them in big groups in the wild is a completely different experience than the zoo. Especially if they fly! It's so cool. Jordan is such a nice guy, born and raised in camarones, and he supports his family with this business so you can feel good about supporting locals instead of expat tour operators. He took us out in a traditional hand made boat with a sail for going one way and paddle/stick for going against the wind (no centerboard so it can't sail in to the wind). Contact Jordan on WhatsApp +57 312 6614529. He'll hook you up. We stopped there on a week long motorcycle trip through the desert (also highly recommended) but he can arrange transportation from nearby Riohacha or elsewhere if needed. Worth every peso, such a different experience and an awesome family to support.

The best place for kite surfing (I reccomend Tawi center) and more. A combination of desert and turquoise Caribbean sea.
