Beginning at Lavena village, this guided walk takes you along Taveuni's wild southeastern coastline, past breathtaking views, black sand beaches and beautiful forests.
Beautiful coastal walk, not too challenging. We saw a rare orange dove, thanks to our guide and the waterfall was beautiful and refreshing. It even has a fun natural rockslide on the side, which goes into the pool. If you dont have much time on Taveuni to do everything, I would prioritise this coastal walk. Highly recommended.

Pack a lunch and head over to see these three waterfalls, each on a different altitude level.
100% would recommend a visit here if you have the chance! Tip - go early sndy hike to the top pool FIRST, you're likely to have it completely to yourself! We hiked up there about 9.30am, spent an hour up there and were completely uninterrupted. We then went to the second pool and there was only one other person there. The second pool is quite noisy due to the force of the water! And the lower pool always has a ton of people at it. So make the effort to go to the top one and spend your time there:) The water is so cool and refreshing, a welcome feeling from the heat & humidity!!

We vistied the park as a family, Mr 10 and Miss 7 loved it, they got to hold an iguna and a boa constrictor, and hand feed turtles, which was amazing, they got to see different types of birds, and had a great time in the splash pool. Unfortunely we did not do the zip line or the water slide but we still had a great day out.

Sculptured through the workings of wind, water and vegetation, the Sigatoka Sand Dunes stand out as one of Fiji's most unique wonders. In 1989, 390 acres of the Sigatoka Sand Dunes was established as Fiji's first National Park- The Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park. A key contributor to its protection is the archaeological treasures buried beneath the dune sands. These artefacts have contributed to the history of man's first arrival in Fiji. Today, evidence of this past continue to be unearthed by the wind. The Park is home to a unique Dune forest which is now home to a myriad of wildlife. Some notable inhabitants of this forest include the Fijian Swallow tail Butterfly, the fruit bats, the Goshawks, the giant stick insects and cryptic Pacific Boa. The National Park is a Fijian heritage, rich in both natural and cultural attributes.
Well appointed Park building and briefing gives you 2 choices - 1 or 2 hour walk - both with beach section, and both with a modest uphill component. Some of the railings and steps in need of removal or replacement but overall a great spot to take in. F$10/adult entry. Local buses go past 3/hour.

Considered one of Fiji's best beaches, Natadola features pure white sand, many much-needed shade trees and horses for hire - both gentle rides for children and adult-level treks as well.
Heaven can wait ????. This bay and beach is almost indescribably good. Turquoise blue water with the reef way back, pristine sand, gentle breeze and an Intercontinental Hotel at one end too. We did horse riding, got a massage and had a Pina Colada as well.

Top spot, particularly if you go early. We visited 25nov'19 and arrived round 11.30 am . Great fun putting on the silkey soft and smooth mud, walking round till it drys, then rinse off in 1st pool and soak for longer in 2nd thermal warm pool. You can repeat the process if you want , just sun dry between. Recommended taking soap and conditioner to wash off after in shower's provided, and plastic bag fr wet/ muddy swimmers. This is a 100% Fijian family owned and operated business and local guide was great. Cost F$30 p person which was nothing, compared to Spar prices in Denerau, Sydney, London etc who would only use a cup full of mud on you, rather than bucket loads here! Best of all was the smooth energised feeling to all parts the mud reached. Highly recommended. We used local pre booked taxi driver Sam pH +679 736 7707 or 941 9295 he has 5 cars and cost F$80 pickup 9.30 am Denerau - Sleeping Giant gardens F$18 entrance fee and onto Mud thermal pools and dropped back in Nadi at 1.30pm at Hindu temple for Masala dosa lunch. Excellent half days adventure

Such an experience to spend a day on such a remote island in the South Pacific. The islanders were so welcoming, especially the teachers at their primary school.Good swimming and snorkelling opportunities. Speed boat tours from 10Fijian Dollars upwards. Crystal clear waters. Pity about the islander who imprisoned a sea turtle in a bath and who was charging 5 dollars for tourists to photograph this beautiful and endangered species.
