Sri Venkateswara Temple

A lovely temple in Cary, NC that has been built in a typical Indian style. Lord Venkateswara murthy is huge and resembles the one at Tirupati. The ambience is really peaceful and calms you down. Just in the neighborhood is a Shivalaya too. In there several gods are kept, like Ganesha, Shiva Linga & Devi. When I visited there was a Abhisheka happening with all mantra being chanted. It was a very divine experience.

Fred G. Bond Metro Park

Fred G Bond Park offers a wide variety of fun activities. The family can set up a picnic in the open fields overlooking a beautiful large lake surrounded by woods as well as hold a big family gathering in the covered cabin-like room with large long tables and rear deck with rocking chairs. You can rent kayaks or pedal boats to explore the lake. Bond Park also offers multiple trails. My favorite one is the wooded trail that goes around the lake (around 2.2 miles). Throughout the park there are multiple covered picnic areas, children playgrounds, and ball fields in wooded settings. It's a fantastic park!!!

This is well worth seeing. Thousands of lights showing lots of characters including one 200 foot long dragon. They hold a short "show" twice a night which features extremely talented performers.
