Carvoeiro Caves

Boat trips by sea in easy boarding modern small boats, visiting breathtaking unique Benagil coastline caves, from Carvoeiro, through Benagil up to Praia da Marinha, considered most beautiful beaches in Europe. Only smaller boats can explore the caves at will - the larger boats are too big to enter the caves. Carvoeiro Caves has a fleet of 4 small, modern boats that zip along the coast and can easily be manoeuvered in the caves. All the boats have an easy boarding system making them accessible to the mobility impaired - no wading through waist-high water before clambering aboard. And all boats are equipped with all safety gear as required by law

Neptunos Surf School

The Neptunos Surf school was born from a great desire from many years to pass on our knowledge, culture and satisfaction that surf has provided over 25 years of experience, we felt the need to reciprocate and share it. So in 2013 we advanced to this dream and so was founded the Neptunos Surf School, the school is enrolled in the Portuguese Federation of Surf and Tourism of Portugal and licensed in the Captaincy of the Port of Lagos and coaches have surf coaching degrees. The school has a premium concept, which only accepts 8 clients per class (day), and with 2 trainers having a ratio of 1×4 or 1×5, which guarantees an excellent quality and attention to all clients, being possible to give feedbacks in a timely manner and keep the group safe.

Algar Seco

What a stunning place this is! I started my hike from the church and worked my way eastwards using the boardwalk. The scenery is just breathtaking! I took my time going down closer to the water by using the carved steps on the rocks (in many places, you have to watch your steps and make sure you put your foot down on rocks that are not slimy). Lots of natural windows facing the ocean ... just spectacular! By the way, do not attempt to walk down if you are wearing sandals or slippers ... I saw one lady almost fall because she was wearing flimsy sandals. She had to walk barefoot on the rocks because she wanted to go where I went. Also make it a point to go to A Boneca ... there is a small entrance way under the rock and, again, two naturally formed windows facing the ocean. Without a doubt, Algarve is a magical place!

Praia de Paraiso

Reviewed By TravellingWriter13

small beach, often quiet. Though the stairs can be hard to get up and down, it is definitely worth it. A small cove, a gem of a place, quite hidden with a fantastic view. Some waves may get you wet, and you will get more of the small beach when the tide is out, but there are good places to put belongings further back. A shady area slightly overshadowed and the sea and more beach a little further on. An amazing find and a very good place to go, whatever the nature of your visit is.

Carvalho Beach

Reviewed By Roots2Wings - Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Another amazing horsehoe-shaped beach in southern Portugal. Its golden sand looks at the Ocean on one side & is completely walled by the sandstone sea cliffs on the other side (actually 3 sides), making it one of the Algarve's best candid-hidden popular beaches. There is free parking on the top (till where your map takes you) & then you need to climb down a long staircase. When you reach a small flat area, there are 2 entries, completely hidden from the top, like a bog hole dug in the sandstone, which has another staircase but this time, carved in the cliff itself. Once you reach the bottom, you are in this amazing "pocket beach" to enjoy time away from the crown, enjoy your beachwear, hide from the sun or get a tan. Mind that there are no toilets, changing room or public showers. The only shop is at the parking level, which is a truck shop selling some basics & fresh juice. Time it well, so that you can get some Sun.

Vale de Centeanes Beach

Reviewed By jqdickson - Leeds, United Kingdom

This beach is fantastic. Beautiful beach surrounded by high cliffs. The sand is so clean and pure. The sea is quite rough, so you need to be very careful if you have young children with you. There a number of steps down to the beach, so if you have difficultly walking you will struggle to access this beach
