Estancia Huechahue is a family owned working cattle ranch located in Northern Patagonia, Argentina. Easily reached from San Carlos de Bariloche and San Martin de los Andes in the Lake District, Huechahue is a perfect addition to your Patagonian itinerary. Come to horseback ride, fly fish, take cooking classes, golf, or just to relax at a traditional Estancia.As a working cattle ranch, Huechahue is a wonderful place to experience traditional estancia life. About 900 head of Hereford cattle and 80 horses are spread over 15,000 acres. Traditional Argentine cowboys, or gaucho’s, roam the ranch, tending to the animals and joining guests on rides and cattle drives.The farm itself is virtually self-sufficient. Water is drawn from an aquifer and electricity from a turbine. Much of the food served at Huechahue comes from the surrounding land. We offer a B&B option of hotel room with breakfast included. Lunch and dinner are optional and paid for separately. We would be happy to help you plan your activities while you are here.
