Took a horse to go to lousia point. Horseman was very vocal and was talking about place. He was very nice to take beautiful pic of us at the lions head point.. He was patient and allowed us to enjoy the beauty. View from here was breathtaking and we could see all past points we saw that day from this point. Worth visiting

We met a gentleman, Sujoy, there with a telescope who showed some key sight seeing points, for a nominal charge. He also offered star gazing services which we immediately accpeted as it would have been a personalised service. Had a great time.

Planning for a cool summer trip? Here's what you need. Ok, starting from accomodation, many budget friendly resorts and cottages are available there with good service. If you are planning to visit alibaug on weekend, then I suggest you to book your rooms at least a day before of your arrival. Many restaurants are available to fill your hunger and I suggest you to try sea food. Water sports like banana boat, sofa ride, parasailing etc. are available. Beach is clean and nice. Don't forget to visit Birla temple, Kashid beach, alibaug beach, Mandwa beach and Janjira fort.

We travelled from Mumbai to Kashid by bike. We were told the roads enroute Kashid are bad so we decided to take ferry. We reached Ferry Wharf also called as Bhaucha Dhakka and started the process of onboarding the bikes on ferry. You would have to show all the documents of the vehicle to the police personal inside before they allow you to take vehicle on ferry. Ferry timings mentioned on their board is way off. It's like once a ferry has reached they try to move it out as soon as they can. On board it said the first from Mumbai to Rewas was at 6.30 am but we were on ferry by 6.15 am and had left the port way before 6.30 am. It depends on where the crowd is coming to basis that they wait longer to accommodate more. We paid 200 to get the bike on ferry and per person ticket was 80 bucks. I was worried how bikes would be on and off boarded but when I saw them handling a bullet with ease, I was relaxed. After 2 hours on sea we reached Rewas. From the port till the beach it was Google map which did perfect job. 2km odd road from Rewas onwards is bad! Post that most of the part was good plain roads with little intermittent bad patches. With one stop for food (you would have plenty options) and fuel filling (again quite a lot but do check the map) we reached Kashid Beach in little over 2 hours. Some part of the ride was a real bliss! Kashid Beach is not as crowded as Alibaug due to bad connectivity. So you can expect a relatively cleaner beach and make sure you do your part to keep it that way ???? Water sports, camel and horse riding are available. You can get some basic things to eat/drink like egg bhurgee, cold drinks, tea/coffee etc.. Obviously a lot of coconut water. All this would be charged little higher. In case you need spare clothes you can find some there and chappals as well. Kids can buy their toys like a float and ball from there as well. Some outlets will allow you to change clothes in the cabin they have created for it provided you give them some commercial benefits of buying things from there. Most of these outlets would close by 10ish in night. We marched the entire beach end to end bare feet with no worries as it looked pristine! We came back at 10 to do the same and found the beach just for ourselves. No lights and no other humans. We had to use torch lights and it was a very good experience.
