All the while I thought Lake Sebu is just a lake????but it wasn't, it's a town where you can find so many resorts to visit fun activities to do???? and not to mention the food! I had so much where infact I went twice after few weeks to sum up my vacation in Southern Mindanao, Philippines. Beautiful, Rich Natural Resources, Lovely people and best place to relax and enjoy the scenery. I have uploaded several photos from different places in lake Sebu that I went; Punta Isla, Dolores Resort, Garden By the Lake, 7 Falls and some side trips????

The island-province of Camiguin is a pear-shaped volcanic island in the northern tip of Mindanao. It is approximately 90 kilometers north of the City of Cagayan de Oro. It is bounded to the north by Bohol Sea, to the west by Macajalar Bay, to the southeast by Gingoog Bay and to the east by Butuan Bay.

The White Island is one of the go-to-place if you are in Camiguin. It is composed of two small white island and the water is cool and soothing. It is best to go there early in the morning as the crowd tends to grow fast. Bring small bills if you want to rent a beach umbrella (200PhP) or sample the raw (fresh) sea urchins being peddled around (3 for 100PhP) . There's no permanent structure on the island as they become completely submerged at high tide. Overall, our experience was pleasant and enjoyable. You must try it!

Sohoton Cove is an enchanting place where you can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of nature. In Sohoton area you can visit twelve (12) places of interest. These are the following: ✔ Sohoton Cove ✔ Crystal Cave ✔ Bolitas Cave ✔ Tundan Cave ✔ Magkukuob cavern (Diving Cave) ✔ Hagukan Cave ✔ Bubon Group of Islets ✔ Club Tara Resort ✔ Tiktikan Lake ✔ Bubon Beach ✔ Marka A Island ✔ Jellyfish Sanctuary (Non-sting Jellyfish) You can explore and discover the majestic place with hospitable people and great tour services. Make sure to contact reliable and registered tour operators for you to have a safe and sound getaway.
The Sohoton Tour should be one of the highlights of your Siargao vacation. Although the trip to Sohoton takes about 2 hours, the sights and activities are worth the long travel. You will pass through scenic limestone cliffs and crystal clear waters. You will get the opportunity to cliff dive after passing thru a claustrophobic cavern. If lucky, you will encounter stingless jellyfishes. Never miss this tour when visiting Siargao.

A short 3-hour drive from Davao we found this very nice white sand beach, perfect for relaxed swimming, surfing and snorkeling. We rented a large house (separate review later), away from the crowd and prepared our own seafood, which we purchased from locals right at our house. Incredible sunrises and sunsets. We will definetely come back.

This was a side trip for us after visiting the Enchanted River at Hinatuan, Surigao province on the island of Mindanao, Philippines. This Pacific Ocean facing province of Mindanao is home to one of the largest - if not, the Largest pulp and paper factory in the Philippines. The forests are still rather lush, but you can see Albicia falcata trees planted in many places. This tree is used for the pulp and paper factory. Tinuy-an falls is around 30 km from the City of Bislig and is accessible by a concrete road all the way to the park. When we visited in September 2019, the park was not overrun by tourists - even on a weekend (Saturday). The grounds were regularly swept of leaves and people seemed to be mindful of where the disposed of their trash. Entrance fee was 50 pesos per person and parking was 20 pesos per vehicle (we had a Toyota pick-up. An official receipt was issued by the Office of the Treasurer - so I assume this place is run by the local government (as with the Enchanted Forest). All swimmers or raft riders were required to have floatation devices and enforcement of this regulation as ensured. There was a cell phone tower nearby so I was able to post photos of this place right from the site. Really convenient and tourist friendly. There were a few benches and tables for small groups. There was not much water at the falls as there has been an unseasonal drought spell. Ordinarily there would be much more water cascading down the falls. This is a truly wonderful place.

We where traveling land trip back to Manila, this place is really part of the itinerary. We could only read this on history books during grade school. It was a great opportunity being able to visit the shrine with my family. We had fun touring around, seeing the huts of Rizal, his Casa Residencia, the century old tree, etc. for free, no charges. It was good that it has been preserve and is taken care of so that children and adults alike could visit and will have a chance to see the past especially Rizal’s life when he was in Dapitan.
