This park is certainly a Jewell, it is a wonderful open space in the centre of Ipswich. The arboretum is well tended and full of lovely shrubs, flowers and magnificent trees; squirrels that are quite tame are in abundance and a variety of birdlife; the outside tennis courts that are nestled in the trees are well utilised. The large ponds with their many species is of wildfowl and if you are lucky you may see one of the many turtles or terrapins that frequent the wilderness pond, that's if the commorant sitting high up in the tree at the edge hasn't picked them off. To cap it all, the highlight of the park, that is the Christchurch Mansion, free to all to roam and see it's many displays of art and artifacts, and indeed I was very fortunate to see Rodin's sculpture "The Kiss" on the day I visited. The park was bustling with people of all ages and backgrounds. What a joy.

Come to Ipswich during the 2nd weekend in September and pick up a "open heritage" booklet and visit this grade 2 listed building designed by Norman Foster in the 1970s. the outside is hung smoked glass, and the interiors are yellow and green as Norman Foster was, reportedly a Norwich City supporter. Have a cup of tea in the cafe situated at the top of a series of esculators running through the middle of the building, and sit in the most famous roof lawn in East Anglia.

Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm is in the middle of the beautiful county of Suffolk in Eastern England and is a small livestock farm breeding farm animals that were once common but are now very rare. It's a great time to bring your whole family to the farm to meet the pigs, feed the goats and let the kids loose in the play area whilst you settle into the calm surroundings with a piece of homemade cake or a cream tea.
Me and my 5 year old son recently visited the Farm. My son loves it here so many lovely animals and such a lovely well looked after Farm. It always looks so lovely and clean especially since its reopened the safety measures in place are brilliant and we felt very safe. Its lovely walking round the footpaths around the field seeing all the animals and there's a lovely picnic area to have lunch in as well. Great value for money and a free bag of animal food as well! Great day out! We will be back!
