If you are 10 years old to 108 years old we will get you excited about splashing in and we will guide you in exploring safely the fascinating underwater paradise on our beautiful island of Ikaria. Business owner and Master Scuba Diver Instructor Yioryos Raptis was born in Ikaria and has over 28 years of diving experience that expand from the West to the East coast of the US, Bahamas to Hawaii and beyond. You are welcome to join us and live the experience of capturing the therapeutic power of Ikarian nature, by distilling the essential oils of the indigenous herbs. We offer an experience of around 4 hours during which will collect and distill the herb of the season. We will start by visiting a location where the herb is abundant. We will spend some time identifying the herbs and discussing their properties. You will learn to gather the herbs by hand, selecting only what is necessary, ensuring sustainability and quality. We will then return to the laboratory and start the process of distillation. You will help to load the distiller and start the distillation, learning the secrets involved in capturing high quality essential oils. While the distillation is in progress, you can sample our range of oils and hydrosols, drink some tea made from local herbs and learn about their uses. Our season starts end of March and ends beginning of September.
