Frisco in Colorado is a small town close to several ski resorts. With fantastic scope for skiing and other outdoor pursuits as well as being a great base from which to explore Colorado and the Rocky Mountains, Frisco describes itself as the Main Street of the Rockies, and is a great place for a family holiday. The first stop for many tourists in Frisco will be the Frisco Nordic Center at the Peninsula Recreation Area, with facilities for skating, cross country skiing and snowshoeing throughout the winter months. The Breckenridge and Copper Mountain ski resorts are also nearby and provide all sorts of skiing and snowboarding opportunities. Any outdoor enthusiast will certainly find a huge range of ski trails and activities for all levels of experience and ability. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, you can even take the whole family white water rafting! In the evenings, Frisco is a small town, but contains an impressive number of restaurants, shops and nightlife. And if you need a break from the slopes, the Frisco Historic Park & Museum is great for kids, a collection of preserved and reconstructed historic buildings which chart Frisco's development from trapper camp to mining town to its present day tourist haven.

We were a group of 4 adults that did a half-day e-bike rental to cycle around the Dillon Reservoir. The equipment was great. One rider had a problem with the seat height & wished it would have been addressed before going on the 18 mile ride. We went counter-clockwise, which we would recommend to tourists. Going up Swan Mountain was a breeze. The view heading down through the wooded area was amazing. We even had time to stop at a pull out, a beach & the Tiki Bar in Dillon. Everyone loved the e-bikes & wants to this activity again when we're in the area. Word of caution to those that cycle. The bikes & helmets do not have rear view mirrors. Overall, Pioneer provided a great experience & would rent from them again.

Frisco Escape Room is a fun, challenging, immersive, interactive game experience. While it looks like an ordinary room, it’s actually a puzzle. During your adventure in our escapes, you will find yourself flexing your brain and looking in nooks and crannies you never even noticed. Find the hidden objects, figure out the clues and solve the puzzles to earn your freedom.
We did the Finders Keepers room with two teenagers, two parents, and a grandmother. We've done multiple escape rooms in different states and countries, and this one was very clever and well done. The introduction and explanation was very helpful, and the hints did not give anything away (we still had to work at the puzzle after a hint was shared.) I would highly recommend this as a fun activity away from your outdoor adventures in Frisco.

The Frisco Historic Park & Museum preserves and promotes the Town of Frisco's heritage and history by presenting an excellent educational museum experience to the community and its visitors, connecting the past, present and future to the world around us.
We went to the Frisco Historic Park and Museum by accident and kept finding more to see. We ended up not seeing everything, but were kept interested and entertained for a couple of hours. We noticed a number of groups with younger children visiting and they all seemed to be happy. It's a good shady area as well - I found the sun to be very hot when we visited near the end of August. Once we were in the museum area it didn't worry me at all. There are many different buildings, including a jail, a church and a variety of cabins. Parking was easy to find within a short walk of the museum. The web site is worth reviewing before you go. It will help set expectations, especially for those with children.

The Frisco Adventure Park is minutes from Frisco's charming Main Street, and in the winter, hosts a lift assisted tubing hill and a beginner ski/ride hill, as well as over 45k of cross-country ski/snowshoe trails and horse drawn sleigh ride dinners. The beginner ski/ride hill located adjacent to the tubing hill offers lessons taught by Copper Mountain instructors in the most laid back and easy going environment possible- a friendly surface lift to get you up the hill, a cozy lodge, free parking right next to the hill and instructors who will help you graduate to the "big mountain" at Copper. But remember- you can tackle this hill without instructors if you choose, and it is perfect for kids and adults alike. The Adventure Park sits on the beautiful Frisco Peninsula and is surrounded by Dillon Reservoir affording unforgettable water and mountain views in every direction. And in the summer, the Frisco Adventure Park boasts great free amenities including miles of mountain biking/hiking/running trails, a bike park, a skate park and a disc golf course. Camping is also available on National Forest Service land on the Peninsula. The Adventure Park Day Lodge offers free bathrooms and a comfortable base camp for activities year-round and hosts special and private events including weddings, family reunions, bike/running races and birthdays.
Went tubing with wife and 19 & 16 yo boys. Was a lot of fun! Conveyor belt a must to bring you to top, and the speed you get on the lanes are fun! Covid restrictions applied, so reservations are needed which is great because it didn’t feel overcrowded at all. Would recommend for family fun!

This was an easy hike near downtown Frisco to a beautiful lake. Our friends thought the pictures were Photo-shopped because of the perfect snow-capped mountains in the background.
