Loch Lomond Pony Trekking

Our experienced ride leaders will take you on a leisurely trek through the tranquil countryside onto the more rugged terrain of the surrounding moorland that overlooks the national park, on our sure footed and well-mannered ponies. Emphasis is certainly placed on enjoying the splendour of overlooking one of the most impressive and iconic views in Scotland whilst on horseback.

Absolutely a fantastic experience! My very first time on a horse, I had no idea what to expect but Suzanne and her team made everything so comfortable and easy! I loved the way Suzanne explained about each horse and there personalities, I had Rosie and i fell in lobe with her, think i grinned all the way through the trek! The views are breath taking. It is very easy to find, plenty of places to park.

What a gem of a find. Amazing and unique glassware. John and Anne are so talented and were so welcoming that it made our visit exceptional. We loved everything so much we returned a couple of days later to buy some more fabulous items, this time for Christmas presents, before going home. We will certainly visit again if in the area for another holiday. I cannot wait to get home to display the items we bought for ourselves. A must visit.

Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre

Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre is located in a natural woodland which retains much of the original woodland and streams to provide the ideal natural setting for nearly 40 Birds of Prey & Owls. The centre is home to over 20 Owls, representing every native species as well as unique or unusual species from other parts of the world. See "Orla", and "Scout" our two magnificent female Golden Eagles. See a selection of hawks and owls fly during our daily flying shows in the flying area. Hear how these magnificent creatures have evolved to become the success predators they are, and how they live on the edge of survival every day. I spent the morning with Stewart and Kevin on a hunting experience with the beautiful Inca the Harris Hawk. I had such a lovely morning with them, walking the fields overlooking Loch Lomond in the search of pheasants for Inca. After the experience we stayed for the flying display which was one of the best I’ve ever been to, Stewart and Kevin have so much passion for their birds, their knowledge and love really shows, which made the display so much more enjoyable. As others have mentioned, the centre is small, but if you rush around things then yes it’ll take 10 minutes but if you’re interested in the birds and take your time you could be there for hours! Thank you to the whole team at the Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre!
