This park works to preserve Loreto's desert ecosystem.
My husband and I recently visited Loreto, Mexico and it was a wonderful visit. We did some sight seeing on our own but also used the tour company of Wild Loreto for an all day tour to the Pacific to see the gray whales and their calves. It was awesome and our tour guide, Chalio, was wonderful. He knew when the whales were getting ready to come up and we had our cameras ready. We liked our tour to the see the whales with Chalio so much that we decided to take another tour to Coronado Island that is in the National Marine National Park in Loreto Bay in order to see more marine life! Marine life we saw in all its glory; we saw sea lions, all sorts of birds including the blue footed booby, dolphins, and had a beautiful hike on a clean and well marked trail that revealed millions of years of geologic activity. All stunning and Chalio was a wonderful guide. I hope Loreto Bay stays protected as the ecological wonder that it is.

Tourists flock to this natural rock formation, a whale-watching site and snorkeling spot.
Had a wonderful hour taxi ride trip, great guide who told us the history of Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach, showed us the sea lions and made sure we saw Pedro the sea lion on the ride back!

This was such an unexpected delight! From the minute i walked in the door, there was a personal greeting, invitation to view the interactive artwork and download a free APP to enjoy the gallery on my own or with their docents! The artwork literally comes alive thru the APP, when you touch it. There is a piano piece that you PLAY! Another piece where you and another person can each touch the side and then hold hands. You play music with your fingers on your partner's hand!

Stopped in during the Thursday art walk and whilst exploring the truly lovely and interesting art and grounds, we found ourselves having a great chat with Frank and his wife. There are a few sculptures i have my eye on and I am very keen to return for Christmas holidays!

Hubby, friend and I decided to try the climb on our own only to discover a wonderful person named, Enrique. Enrique took our group up the mountain but unfortunately my husband and I got separated from the group and was solo. Enrique did discover us as we made our way down. My recommendations are to wear good footwear, hat, sunscreen and bring water or an electrolyte type drink. Enrique offers this climb every morning at 9:30. He doesn't charge for being your guide, and tips are optional. TIP the Man! He was my savior that day and saved my a**. He is also a dog trainer and the tips help out with food expenses, etc. LOVE You Enrique ! You are the man!

Was lucky to get there with Selkie Travels- after exiting snorkelling with Sea lions we got to this beach for lunch - it was the most breathtaking beach I have seen- sand is white and water is so super blue- it was worth every penny - make sure you save a day for this trip as it is not close from La Paz and all depends on weather as well — so book it and enjoy the raw beauty of Baja

MEXICO'S NUMBER ONE PICKLEBALL DESTINATION Newest “hotspot” craze and architectural pickleball wonderland in the warm and loving Mexican community of Los Barriles, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Tres Palapas Baja Pickleball is the bucket list pickleball mecca with 10 dedicated courts, Bistro and Restaurant, Coffee and Smoothie Bar, Spa, Yoga, Art & more...
From the minute you walk in, the Tres Palapas experience is perfect! The grounds are beautifully maintained, the staff and owners welcoming and the courts are in perfect condition and I think there are 10 or 11 including the tournament court. Lots of places to sit and relax, clean bathrooms and very nice and welcoming people to play with. As someone who is not a regular visitor, all the players are still very welcoming and it's easy to find people to play with. They have great food and drink options at Tres Palapas, so breakfast, lunch or dinner - including a full bar - are available making it a great place to hang out when not playing. Los Barriles is a very cool and chill place as well. The town is small with several great restaurants and bars, and friendly people, both ex-pats and locals. Lots of fun day trips you can go on from there such as La Paz, Todos Santos, San Bartolo, and El Triunfo. Also, close to Cabo Pulmo for world-class diving and lots of kiteboarding in Los Barriles, if that's your thing. Can't wait to go back!

This surfside avenue is Loreto's center for peoplewatching, by day and night.
I would visit this place any time. Much better than La Paz!! Very clean and touristy with so much history. Nice people and very relaxing quiet city on an isolated type of beach. The city is a great place to visit with some beautiful churches and missions with so much Mexican culture here. We could not believe how well the city was kept up and taken care of for some many years. Really cool place to visit.
