What a great shop and customer service. I stopped in the store in the fall of 2019 while touring the city. The staff was extremely helpful with my questions and made some recommendations on purchases. We were very pleased with everything we purchased. Jumping forward to 2020. We had a trip scheduled to be back in Italy for Holiday and were going to stop by the store to stock up on items that we were running out of. Unfortunately, the trip was cancelled. I was able to contact the store and spoke with Annese Cosimo. All the items that we wanted to purchase were available and were shipped to us in the States. The service was exceptional and everything arrived in perfect condition. We were sorry we could not visit this year but have planned a return trip in 2021 and will definitely stop by for more incredible items.

A collection of 1,400 beehive buildings built and lived in by peasants.
Alberobello is a lovely town in Puglia which, while being a World Heritage site preserving Trulli architecture in a theme park like environment, also conveys a sense of vibrant Southern Italian life. Worth adding to your exploration of Puglia even if just for a day visit.

We were given a food and wine tasting from the Salento region. The antipasti, salami, prosciutto and various kinds of cheeses were delicious. The owner is very kind and forthcoming. The only thing they could improve on is the presentation: Everything was served in plastic dishes; maybe due to COVID-19.

When one has been around the village and appreciated the distinct character of the place, one is not all that impressed that they managed to fit out a church too. It only proves that the skill of building the trulli had been so well mastered, that bigger projects were accomplished. The edifice of the church is more massive than the houses and judging by the structure it is a wholesome piece of construction. Other than that the interior is just "churchy".

The chief draw is many trulli houses that are spread over a considerable area. The largest is to the southerly side of the principal road, Largo Martellotta, and provides the main tourist attraction with many souvenir shops and the like. The area to the north of Largo Martellotta seems to have rather more trulli houses in general occupation- and rather less tourists. Well worth a visit.
