Snorkeling in crystal clear waters! The ecotourism operation at Recanto Ecologico Rio da Prata follows the principles for sustainability. The tour is developed within a RPPN - Private Reserve of Natural Heritage. Elected the Best Tourist Attraction of Brazil in 2008 and 2009 by readers of Brazil's most respected Travel Guide - Guia 4 Rodas, the ranch also received awards for its environmental projects and social responsibility. Main tour: Trail and Snorkeling. After the tour a regional lunch is served. Optional tours: Horseback riding, Birdwatching and Scuba Diving.
This was simply one of the most incredible experiences of my entire life. I have already recommended this to friends and family that plan to visit Brazil in the future. We saw a shy river otter, tons of huge fish, and even floated under a tree filled with monkeys. Not to mention the incredible natural phenomenon where the spring that feeds the river comes up from the riverbed under a sand floor and looks like boiling sand. Check out the BBC Documentary Seven Worlds One Planet to see an HD version of this incredible river. The lunch afterwards was incredibly good, and I highly recommend chatting with the employees. I was taken around the grounds at the visitors center and shown all of the different birds that congregate in the trees on the property. Big red macaws and a few beautiful Toucans among many others.

Lagoa Misteriosa, which translates as "Mysterious Lagoon", is a lake at the bottom of a sinkhole, a type of geological formation common in limestone regions. This lake of transparent waters impresses visitors for its incredible depth, it is considered one of the deepest submerged cave in Brazil, with more than 220 meters of water column. Activities offered: Snorkeling and Scuba diving. For certificate divers, the depth to be reached depends on the level of certification, up to 60 meters.
Lagoa Misteriosa is an amazing dive. The water is incredibly clear. I was fortunate to go down to around 25 meters and spent around 40 minutes in the water. The view was pretty amazing. The staff were very helpful. Definitely visit Lagoa Misteriosa if your visiting Bonito.

We used Enchanting Tours. They did all our bookings for us. We stayed in the lodge overlooking a lake. Each room had a big comfortable bed and own bath and balcony with a hammock. The main lodge was beautiful. Nice open space big sliding door to go out onto a large deck on a lake with an island in the distance you could walk too. Beautiful clean pool and more comfy hammocks to lounge in. Delicious farm to table food served every day on a large dining table. Comfortable sofas chairs and big coffee table books in the large great room of the lodge. We had jaguar tours and spotted at least 4, it was wild and fun going over fields following them especially at night. We saw giant anteaters, tons of birds, and lots of other wild things on our safaris that we took a couple of times a day. The Pantanal was beautiful, lush and the caiman staff did a fantastic job catering to us and making our experience MOST enjoyable. We met the owner at a huge BBQ with the most delicious meat I’ve ever had, roasted on a spit with Brazilian cowboys singing. Another night we were dropped off at the edge of the trees and we followed twinkling lights to an interior fairy land with great food again. So surprised. 8 of us went on this trip, it was great. we went thru’ Enchanting tours’ they did a beautiful trip for us Manaus, Tucano boat on the Rio Negro, Rio, Caiman lodge and Sa Paulo. BEST trip ever.

Adventure of ecotourism with respect to the environment and regional culture! Estancia Mimosa Ecotourism offers its visitors an interpretive trail amidst the forest stopping by at various cascades of all sizes and shapes, where you can swim in natural pools. Along the way, there are small caves, a diving platform and viewpoints with privileged view to the mountains of the Bodoquena Sierra.Includes: Lunch with dishes and homemade desserts prepared in authentic wood burning stove, safety insurance, local guide and life jacket. In 2018 the Tour received an honour prize at environmental category at Brazilian Premio Braztoa de Sustentabilidade. Optional Tours: Horseback riding and Bird Watching.
There are several water based attractions around Bonito, this really stood out. After a very tasty buffet lunch a guide took our group of 9 on a forest trail to view about a dozen stunning waterfalls and swim in the sparkling, clear water under several of them including a swim behind the curtain of water in one case. Everything was very well organised, the guide trying his best to speak English to me with a virtually all-Brazilian (Portuguese) group. Highly recommend Elson Junior our guide for his warmth, energy and helpfulness to all members of the group.

In this park you can get a nice walk while seeing different kinds of birds and animals. The beautiful trees may also make your visit even better. If you have kids, stopping at one of the three playgrounds should be a good idea. In this case, I suggest to take a picnic towel and some snacks to spend some time. My daughter loves it.
