The "Villa of the hundred chimneys", as it is called "La Ferdinanda", is set in a breathtaking landscape in the most authentic heart of Tuscany and is the ideal location to host events in a charming setting. Built in 1596, it recalls even today the Renaissance splendor of the Medici family: each space has its own soul, its own history and marvelous decorations. The Villa has been declared a UNESCO Heritage Site since 2013, along with other Medici Villas and Gardens. It maintains some stunning authentic elements, like Tuscan tiles floor, fireplaces, frescos.

Any port in a storm on a wet afternoon, so we went in to this museum with no high hopes. At the reception desk was a very informative and enthusiastic young woman, who spoke excellent English. The first room contains a collection of very old fabrics, with explanations (in English and Italian), of how they were made. The room is quite dark (to protect the fabrics). Further exhibits describe the history of Prato as a textile producing town, and an interesting display of different textiles produced from animal, vegetable and artificial sources. This may sound dry and of limited general interest, but we left (after the rain had stopped) feeling we had learned something.

The Pratesi family has been producing wine in the Carmignano area for five generations. It was Pietro Pratesi who bought the Lolocco estate in 1875 in the heart of Carmignano, where wine and oil were already produced. And in Lolocco the Fabrizio Pratesi winery produces the best wines in high-density planted vineyards. We will be pleased to let you visit our wine cellar , together with a tasting of our best wines. We have available a large glazed living room, with fireplace, overlooking our vineyards and the surrounding countryside. Available for events and private dinners.
