Pont Canal de Briare

This is an incredible architectural feat - we traveled over the bridge in a canal boat and then went back to bike on it.

One of those strange constructions that you can find in France. It's worth the visit because of: -its uniqueness; -it's located in a nice and quiet region; -it's well kept; -the possibility of a small stroll; -... And take the opportunity to shoot some nice photos.

Chateau de Sully-sur-Loire

The imposing medieval architecture of the chateau de Sully has dominated the Loire for seven centuries. With its high towers, its moats still filled with water and its superb conical roofs, the château gives the impression of having seen some of the finest moments of France's history. You can visit the residence of Maximilien de Béthune, better known by the name Duke de Sully, Henri IV's famous minister, and discover the history of this family which owned the castle for nearly four centuries !

We visited the castle with young children and found it really nice. The visit is planned to be ‘long enough’ with proper explanations about the specific rooms/areas been visited. Some areas are under renovation and thus off-limits to visitors. All very well kept and also well respecting COVID-19 rules. We visited on a very warm and sunny day, the castle was very cool temperature. Highly recommended.

Chateau de Meung sur Loire

At the gates of Chambord, from the sophistication of its drawing rooms to its unsettling underground passages, you will be astonished while discovering this private chateau and the illustrious figures who have stayed there.

Reviewed By Beto79 - Lille, France

This was one of the highlights of our recent trip to the Loret region. The castle is very well preserved; the interior of the castle is beautiful and it has many old furniture; well-signalled (at least for French speakers) and the surroundings are quite nice to spend the day. Consider to visit the place on Sunday; so you can also see the local market. The gift shop has nice products from the region. Plan well; although it is relatively close to Orleans, the frequency of trains is a little bit sparse.
