Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani, Trikuta and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Hindu Mother Goddess of MahaKali, MahaSaraswati and MahaLakshmi.
Visiting Mata Vaishnodevi on the Trikut mountains is a very memorable experience - especially when you do it on foot. One must visit this place at least once in lifetime. The shrine board has made excellent facilities for the devotees - the accommodation, eateries, the newly made cemented route etc. makes it much easier for the devotees to visit the place even on foot. There are other modes to reach the top, such as palkhis (palanquins), ponies, pithooos, helicopter. All in all, it is a great experience.

Mesmerizing view, Helicopter ride was awesome, Darshan done very comfortably. In returning took horse ride, but per person rate is too high. Used rope way for Bhairo Temple which is very reasonable priced. Food is not good at restaurants available near temple.

Loved it ❤️... Pedal boat and Serene place Besides being a popular excursion destination in Jammu, it is also a holy site, sharing the legend and sanctity of Lake Manasarovar. On the Eastern Bank of the Lake there is a shrine to Sheshnag, a snake with six heads.

It was a great opportunity for me to visit the famous & much revered Kali Mata temple on the hill top after a long time. I was overwhelmed to see the face of Maa’s idol where the main body is submerged below. As the story goes the king of Jammu had brought this Kali Ma’s idol centuries back from Kolkata’ Dakshineshwari temple. Seeing this and other idols of Devi in different avatars and other Hindu Gods gives a divine feeling. Must visit while in Jammu but avoid Tuesdays & Sundays if u can due to heavy rush.

Had darshan on 3rd January 2021 A important place of Hindu religious significance, Shri Shiv Khori Cave houses the Shivling of Lord Mahadev along with his family in natural form in cave. The trek is of 3 kms from the starting point till which vehicles are allowed. We took a taxi to and back from Katra which is about 80 kms away and it costed us INR 2250/-, Started the journey from Katra at 12.00noon we reached Ransoo village at 3.00pm after stopping at Nau Devi Mandir for about 45 minutes. After lunch we started our journey at 16.00pm. We have taken online registration number prior to our visit and Covid test done at Katra station a day prior was valid. it was raining through out the yatra route and we reached the holy cave at 5.30pm. the route is not very steep and it is easy walk if you can pace yourself moderate. We deposited the mobile at the counter and left shoes and entered the cave. We were fortunate enough to do "Ja Abhishek" of the Shivling and participate in the evening aarti which took place from 6pm - 7pm. After Aarti we descended the hill in 40 minutes and were back in Katra at 22.15pm. It was an amazing experience inside the cave attending the aarti. Pony and palki available in this route at very reasonable rates. Cannot wait for the next visit to this Holy Cave. Jai Baba Shiv Khori Ji
