Building on its must-visit location, the once-tiny El Calafate has grown quickly to cater to and profit from the visitors to nearby Los Glaciares National Park. Many visit to see such natural wonders as Perito Moreno Glacier, a massive glacier that’s actually composed of many other pieces of shifting ice. Yet travelers will find that El Calafate is much more than merely a gateway to the Patagonian wild—it’s a fun town offering all sorts of outdoor adventures.

Indigo Sud is a family business founded by pioneers of El Calafate. We prefer personalized transfer service over massive trips, working for our customers to reach the magical corners of this destination feeling accompanied and cared for. Safe and efficient trips, with skilled drivers and qualified vehicles . Indigo sud is a transfer company only / we do not operate as a travel agency and do not provide guide services.
We decided for a private tour with Indigo Sud and was a very good desition. Ivan is an excellent tour guide. He took care of every detail to make us feel comfortable and his knowledge of history, geography and the place itself made this tour a must if you planning to visit El Calafate.

Private tranfer to head to the turistic attraction. Stopping by to take picture and optimazing your time here in Calafate and Chalten
Alex was phenomenal. We were twin 11 year old boys and mom and dad with a mix of excellent spanish/english and no Spanish/English. We had made zero plans before we got to Calefate. Alex stepped in and helped with it all -- easily blending English and Spanish to make us all feel at ease. She helped us set up the glacier trekking, horseback riding, restaurant reservations and souvenier shopping. Everything she recommended, down to the out of the way non-touristy afternoon treks -- was everything we did not even know we wanted! Couldn't recommend more highly.

At 37 miles long, this glacier is considered one of the longest in South America.
Worth the rough boat ride, the glacial winds that literally knock you down, and the 4x4 trek to see this beauty up close!
