100% recommended, Thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family! Children aged 4 and 7 loved meeting, leading and feeding the gorgeous friendly alpacas. The Museum tells the fascinating story of four of the British army's most famous regiments. This long history, dating back to the 1680s, is told through many kinds of objects including uniforms, medals, weapons and models. The regiments have seen action in many prominent events, including the British campaign in South Africa (visit us and discover what really happened in the 1879 Zulu War!), And both world wars. Forty-three of the regiments' soldiers have received the Victoria Cross, and we commemorate their sacrifice and heroism as well as that of all the men and women associated with our regiments who have contributed so much to our country.
If you’re into military history this is well worth a visit with exhibits dating back to the beginning of the Regiment and from every conflict it’s been involved in. We had a great couple of hours here

The Play Barn is an award winning indoor soft play centre on the edge of Brecon. Suitable for children up to 11. Adventure, exercise and stimulation in a safe environment! We have a cafe that offers delicious meals, snacks and drinks. The Play Barn is open Wednesday to Sunday during term time. Open 7 days a week during Powys school holidays. No entry charge for adults.
This is a family run business. Everything very clean. Shop was well stocked and well displayed. Food was lovely. I read on here that it was deemed expensive. I don’t know what part of the country they lived in but all prices are very reasonable indeed. All children had great fun. Even the older kids. Definitely going again. You will not be disappointed.

Visiting for a few hours. Helpful and friendly staff. Will visit again next year and stay longer. Enjoyed a walk along the PROMENADE - very tranquil, clean and tidy! Cathedral is worth a visit.

Me, my wife and 7 year old daughter came here for a day out on Unicorn day. We had been before approximately 4 years ago but it has got even better! There is lots to do including- Small pet handling, lamb feeding, goat&sheep feeding, crazy golf, rowing boats, paddle boats, sand & water play, soft play, tractor ride, zip wire, foam party etc etc. A lady called Sarah is the main entertainer (she runs all the feeding groups, shows etc) and she is brilliant! She’s really good with the kids and gets a lot out of them. The food is very reasonably priced approx £6-£7 an adult meal and £4.95 for a child’s meal with drink. We actually took a picnic with us as we weren’t aware of the reasonable prices for food. All in all it’s a great day out and also has the added benefit of beautiful views!
