Statfold Barn Farm, located close to Tamworth in Staffordshire, is the home to the Statfold Barn Railway which, under the guidance of owners Graham & Carol Lee over the last fifteen years, has grown to become what must be the most significant collection of narrow gauge locomotives in the UK. With over 30 steam locomotives and many internal combustion locomotives, representing most British and several overseas manufacturers. With the recent establishment of the Statfold Narrow Gauge Trust the future of this unique collection is ensured beyond the lifetime of its owners. As well as our public open & enthusiast days, Statfold also offer Driver Experience Days, educational tours & special events including Santa Express Trains, Halloween Steam & Scream and much more..!
Really enjoyable day out to a local railway that we didn't know existed until a few months ago. Went to' Road and Rail' weekend and was amazed to see how many engines were in steam all day, with options of tram ride or just meandering around the site and museum. Ample, well organised parking and the whole site itself was clean and very well marshalled. Covid 19 measures were excellent, with plenty of sanitiser points and staff cleaning everywhere. Highly recommended and well worth a visit

A small micropub in the town centre, 8 mins from railway station. Upto 6 ever changing Real Ales, 30 Real Ciders and fruit ciders, 6 Gins, plus soft drinks. Snacks, including Pork Pies and Sausage Rolls, of outstanding quality. No music, or electronic machines, conversation free of charge. Come and meet the team and join in the conversation.
I've been a regular patron of this gem of a place from its opening night. Very intimate, and friendly, with a fantastic variety of beers and ciders, and a hard core of characterful regulars, plus a passing trade that is often charmed enough to pay further visits. One can see this from other reviews. Ged and Ade, the owners, really know their stuff, so all credit to them and to their lovely people.

We are a small, family owned childrens farm, which has been operating for over 30 years. We have lots of friendly farm animals, mostly undercover so weather does not cause any problems, we also have The Big Play Barn on site, which is a newly built indoor soft play centre. The Big Play Barn has its owe review page on trip advisor and you can look at their web page and facebook for more info. The farm is Ideal for all visitors who love animals and wish to have close contact with them. Plenty of handwashing facilities, ample free parking and activities throughout the day. The main daily activities include holding a baby chicken and bunny, go on a egg hunt to find a freshly laid egg from the Hen House, sit on the pony or shire horse! We also run the tractor and trailer ride everyday and children get a bucket of feed for the animal (except horses). There are extra activities that we put on thoughout the year and we also put on special events days so look out on facebook page and on our webpage for more info. On our farm we have falconary centre which puts on displays everyday (weather dependant) and we breed our Shire Horses in our Shire Horse Centre. All the activities are included in the farm admission price
Lots to do and see, good selection of animals including all the farm animals, some birds of prey along with bunnies and chicks. There's also a massive indoor play area along with outside play area and air cushions. Picnic areas, places to eat + gift shops

Step back in time and experience life in a Norman motte and bailey castle. Explore Tudor and Stuart chambers, grand Victorian reception rooms and the magnificent late Medieval Great Hall. Tamworth Castle promises a brilliant day out for all the family. There is plenty to see and even more to do with hands on displays and costumes. The Castle Keep is set in extensive pleasure grounds in the centre of Tamworth's historic market town. Over the centuries the Castle has welcomed royal visitors, key figures in history and nobility. Myself and my good lady booked a ski level 1 & 2 ahead of our ski holiday to Chamonix, the tuition we had was brilliant, David was confident, reassuring, and very patient, he taught us the basics of slow speed control. Ski level 2 was with Peter, again, brilliant, he taught us how to to start making turns, he explained what we needed to do in very simple terms, reassured me when I cocked it up, told me what I did wrong and how to correct it. Genuinely couldn’t wish for better instructors, big thanks to both of you. Thanks.

Jump Xtreme is on a mission to get people across the UK having bags of fun, and getting fit without even noticing it! It goes without saying that our Trampoline areas are awesome! Our main arena has over 100 interlinked trampolines, and includes: dodgeball court, volleyball court, air bag for stunt jumping and a specialised tots area!
Had a fab afternoon at Jump, the kids loved it! really good value for money, the staff were helpful and friendly, the place is absolutely spotlessly clean, (quite often soft play places I've visited before have a grubby feel to them), the food was good and service too. Would definitely recommend and the kids already want to know when we're going back... good afternoon had by all. 5*

Well organised to cope with the COVID measures required. Staff very friendly and helpful once you’ve remembered to ring the doorbell to gain admission. Really good real ale made for a cracking afternoon.

The town’s first microbrewery and brewery tap in a 16th century town centre shop with beer garden in the shadow of the Norman castle. Ales brewed on the premises are served from the cask along with an excellent range of premium drinks. Opened December 2017. Open Thursday - Sunday.
Now our current favourite place!! You get to sit around such rich history. There is the herringbone wall that is over a thousand years old. During social distance they’ve totally managed it fantastically with a traffic light system, table service, regular updates on their Facebook page. All the staff seem really happy to work their and George is clearly passionate about his little gem! You would forget you’re sat in tamworth, it’s picturesque idyllic and great beers!!! I do not personally recommend pear and chilli, it’s a-bit of a marmite love it or hate it. I highly recommend pineapple cider! I’m not even a cider drinker but I highly recommend This place. If you’re stuck for choice they do a really clever board with 3x 1/3 glasses of ciders to try Also do wines, gins and ales. I would like to try the tamworth gin next time. Got yourself 2 new regulars.
