Red Wing's turn-of-the-century Sheldon Theatre showcases the best in arts and entertainment from Minnesota's heartland and beyond. It operates year-round, presenting a broad range of touring events including music, theatre, dance, comedy, films, lectures and more. The Sheldon also produces its own shows starring local artists and performing arts groups. Built in 1904 with funds from local businessman T.B. Sheldon, The Sheldon is the country's first city-owned theatre. In 1986 it was gloriously restored to its original grandeur. Described as a "glittering jewel box," it charms performers and audiences alike. Our Mission: Red Wing's historic Sheldon Theatre of Performing Arts is committed to showcasing the best arts and entertainment for the enjoyment, education, and enlightenment of the community and its visitors.
We attended a rock concert (The BoDeans) at the Sheldon Theatre. We were in the very last row of the lower level and still felt close to the stage with a good view of the band and excellent sound. We would definitely attend other shows here.

We are a used book store primarily, but we do have events...open mikes, musical performances, movies, speakers, etc. We also gift everyone a book on their first visit to the store
I enjoy browsing this locally owned bookstore. They have used and new items with an excellent selection. The owners are very knowledgeable of their inventory and offer a free book for your first visit to the store. They sometimes have music and authors presenting.

In addition to information about local venues, the historic Red Wing train depot houses the RW Arts Association, complete with for-sale art and jewelry from local artists. Since Red Wing is my home town, I knew that Marjorie Vogel was the founder of the Arts Association, and the gallery at this venue bears her name.

---CHECK OUR WEBSITE FOR CURRENT & SEASONAL HOURS--- Our Secret to Seriously Delicious Wine? 1 Lifetime of Culinary Experience + 2 Generations of Farming Being uniquely situated in the picturesque Flower Valley in Red Wing, Minnesota; we have the perfect area for grape-growing (not to mention a legitimately scenic drive!) For generations, our land has yielded our family excellent crops, and in 2002 we planted our first vines on a gently sloping hillside of our farm. Combine that with a lifetime of experience in catering, and we're making delicious, award-winning wines. In 2012 we opened our tasting room where we proudly grow almost all the grapes in our wines. Enjoy the beauty of the Mississippi River bluffs as you walk through our vineyard and taste our wines!

Got an early start on my Christmas shopping. Being of Scandinavian descent, it seems there are always fun things to see in this shop. I left with some neat socks, kids books and Minnesota-themed dish cloths. Very fun shop!

Once the largest producer of stoneware in the country, Red Wing Stoneware and Pottery began in 1877, making crocks and jugs. As the country grew and changed, so did our company, creating vases, art pottery, and dinnerware.Today we fire up our salt glaze kiln to produce a full line of mugs, crocks, bakeware and kitchen pieces. Watch potters at the wheel creating our wares, and shop our pottery salesroom, gift shop, candy store, and coffee shop. Our stoneware factory (four miles north) offers weekday tours of the zinc glaze process that produces vintage stoneware with the iconic red wing.
We visited many of the stores in the building. The boutiques have some nice things to choose. The antique has row after row of all kinds of things - all displayed neatly. Was fun to meander and look. Hot outside but nice and cool in the large building. All the salespeople we met were very friendly, Many benches to stop and rest between shops. We had a fun time.

We were blown away at the beauty of the artistic dishes, decorative and historic Red Wing Pottery piece.! The collections were so well organized and labeled by years. You could look in the sales room for the dishes , vases, art pieces you like..then go into the Museum with beautifully displayed similar items, labeled with the year. We spent an hour enjoying and purchasing art pieces with history. Cool old room vignets from the early 1900s and the 50s. Giant 100 year old crocks and other history of Red Wing Pottery. Comfortable fresh remodelled building with clean bathrooms and places to sit too!

The boot picture is a must see! The museum upstairs is very informative and be sure to see the bargains in the lower level outlet.
