For a town that was no more than a fishing camp and a few farms fifty years ago, Port Saint Lucie has grown to be a lovely vacation spot. Port Saint Lucie is the location of the spring training camp for the New York Mets. Visit Tradition Field and see how the team is shaping up for the coming season. Then, if you love to golf, head over to the PGA Village, a 51-hole complex with a learning center and historical center. To the east of Port Saint Lucie is the Atlantic Ocean, so you'll want to schedule at least one day for the beach. Port Saint Lucie is also located just north of the Saint Lucie River, so you can explore the beauty of the river region on the St. Lucie River Princess. You'll cruise in comfort and be taken by the breathtaking scenery of natural Florida. The cruise is shaded from the sun and narrated for your education and entertainment. Cruises start in the afternoon, so you can spend a leisurely morning first. You can also explore nature on foot by hiking in the Savannas Preserve State Park. The park also offers canoe trips and guided explorations. No trip to Port Saint Lucie would be complete without a visit to Lily's Cafe. It serves great food at great prices. If you're lucky, Lily herself might be your waitress. If you're feeling more exotic, El Cubanito serves Cuban cuisine in a family atmosphere. Other restaurants include seafood, Indian cuisine, and American cuisine.

Great hidden secret. The dedication of the builders of the model trains and towns is top notch . Take 30 minutes of your day and check them out.

My fiancé and I had an amazing experience at this spa. It was the best overall relaxing experience, along with one of the best massages we have ever gotten. Shawnee and March were our massage therapists and did amazing jobs. I would definitely do this again.

We were recently on a family holiday in Florida (from California) and were looking for something fun to do as a group that would work for a wide variety of ages. We had a relatively large group ranging in ages from 8 to 63...and EVERYONE enjoyed it! We booked "Uncle Bob's Cabin" and there was enough in the rooms to explore and keep everyone engaged. The younger ones had fun exploring the space and finding objects and clues and the older ones enjoyed making sense of it all. As impressive as the activity itself, was John, one of the owners. He was a pleasure to work with. He responded quickly to phone calls and was extremely accommodating! He explained things clearly and he was appropriately helpful and funny in the giving of clues once we were inside the room. And the cost was more than reasonable. We could not have been happier with our experience (it was a first escape room for many in the group...and I think they're hooked!). If we lived in the area, it would definitely be a regular family activity on the calendar!

Part of what was supposed to become Port St Lucie's "downtown", but development and financing plans fell thru. Still, it's a lovely facility, with fitness center, athletic gym, gallery space for art and exhibits, convention meeting rooms, huge ballroom, adjacent to large festival plaza, and interactive fountain. Lots of free parking. There's a cafe on site, also a bit of World Trade Center steel. Entertainments and dances are hosted. There's a nice terrace in back, with a lovely water view. Rentals are available for receptions and other events.

On a Brew-hop through the Space Coast and the Treasure Coast, the wife and I hit some great spots. Based on the places we visited, it seems (Port) St Lucie is the place to be, with Hop Life and Side Door being simply the best places we visited. First, the interior...wow, what a great space. It's not too big, but there is plenty of seating. There is outdoor seating as well. We brought our pup right up to the bar in his stroller. The food truck out back was delivering some really tasty looking plates to the people around us. The decorating looked professional. The holiday decorations were all around and tastefully done. If I lived in the area, this would be my spot. They'd know my name. Service was outstanding. A good bartender knows what is happening at the bar...they have a good sense for the order people stepped up, and they acknowledge you even if you're deep in the queue. Such was the case with Jordan. She was slammed momentarily with a group getting tastes and pints. This is time-consuming. She didn't miss a beat, acknowledging me and another gent waiting our turn. When she got to us, she apologized and quickly got us what we wanted. She then comped me a couple extra beers on my flight. Kinsey took over for Jordan, and there was no drop-off in service. This place is a recommendation on the service alone. But then there was the beer... You might know that I don't like to review beers...it's a matter of taste, and that varies from person to person...but when they're exceptional: Wake Me Up Before You CoCo...the best Coconut Porter I've ever tasted. This is the way this beer is supposed to be done. Period. I've had Coconut Porters before and most disappoint. Not here. This beer wasn't available for take home, no matter how much I pleaded. Nut House Coffee Brown...a tremendous mix of nuts, coffee, and chocolate all in a smooth porter base. It is a little sweet. Again, this is the way a beer of this style is to be done. I took home a crowler. I'll be sad I didn't bring home more. Blood Orange NEIPA Zero Viz...building on the richness of the Zero Viz NEIPA, the addition of the Blood Orange makes this a most pleasant drink. I could have drank this until they wheeled me out of the place. Unfortunately, this beer was also not available for take home. Two of my three favorites are in-house only. I guess I have good taste as consolation for my disappointment? Winter Lager...very good version with plenty of spice and a touch of sweetness. I'd drink this to close the evening. To round it out, the IPAs we tasted were good, but I would opt for the above before an IPA on their board. If you're a heavy IPA drinker, you might not be as impressed as I am with the place.

Went with grandsons, 8 & 13 years old. Enjoyed bowling & laser tag. Will try indoor mini golf next time. Nice place to have fun indoors during hot Florida summer. Great food & service at Duffy’s for lunch.
