While walking downtown Petaluma, my wife and I discovered Sonoma Portworks. The owners and portmakers (Bill and Caryn) are on-site most of the time. They are knowledgeable and delightful to interact with. their prices are great for quality ports and they even have grappa too! Go enjoy yourself!

Found this spot on a whim and loved it. In an old garage, Ernies is a gem on the side of the road. No cell phone use allowed makes it even more charming. Lots of brews on tap. You can even take some to go.

Keller Estate Winery is located at the entrance of Sonoma close to the beautiful town of Petaluma. Our Alfresco Tours include a guided visit to our estate, followed by a sit-down tasting of a selection of five wines. We make wines exclusively from fruit grown on our property specializing in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Our tasting room is open by appointment Thursday thru Sunday.
Knowledgeable and pleasant staff made the wine tasting experience excellent. Both the management and serving staff ensured our visit was memorable. Highly recommended with and appointment.

WOW! This is the longest operating cheese company in America, making traditional & original cheeses since 1865. They happily offer free & delicious samples while educating visitors at the same time. Opens daily at 11am with a lovely pond and free picnic area (with any purchase). We were surprised to find many half price cheeses & pastries, with different ones offered daily. Be sure to schedule time to stop in & pick up some delicious goods on your way out to Point Reyes National Seashore; as it's on the same route. You'll be glad you did!
