The sport that shaped a nation. How did rugby come to play such an important role in the culture and heritage of New Zealand, and why are the All Blacks so good? Our Balls, Bullets and Boots Exhibition opens on 22nd August - Rugby Remembers WW1. Explore the rich history and folklore of the nation's game, see some of the world's rarest rugby artefacts, and learn about some of our rugby greats. You can get active by testing your rugby skills in the dedicated "Have A Go" area and measure yourself against the best.
Some fantastic historical items as well as contemporary pieces. A great collection of rugby and its intertwining into nz culture. A MUST see if in the Manawatu!! An active zone (designed for kids to test themselves) provides a distraction to all members of the family. Very knowledgeable and friendly volunteers to assist and explain items.

At the cultural heart of our city, Te Manawa draws art, science and heritage together to reflect our past, illuminate the present and inspire a creative and sustainable future for our growing region and its people. Our public want deeper and more energetic access to their museums. They want to see and hear their stories told, in their own voices. They are right to demand inclusion, representation and participation. These make for personal experiences that touch them emotionally, inspire them creatively and give life and mana to their collective heritage – making for an exciting place to live. The main goal of Te Manawa Museums Trust is to provide the people of Manawatū and beyond with interactive experiences in art, science and heritage. For us, it is all about connection. People should feel passionate and excited about, and attached to Te Manawa, the collections we care for, and the experiences we shape with them.
Excellent Museum for adults and children. The kids play area for under 7s is fantastic for the young ones to explore things. The social history gallery is great to look into the display cases to see things that have gone by. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

First visit for me and it just has an amazing presence about where it sits in Broadway as you can see the Cathedral in all its glory. It has been well maintained and that is great to see as a lot of the older places are getting demolished now, it would be super if the place had tours that you could go up the spier. Inside is just breathtaking and l was in awe of everything l looked at so make time and visit this superb place you certainly will not have trouble finding it.

The Inspire Me Store and Wellness Centre is the creation of Michelle Grey, a woman with a passion for personal development and the Law of Attraction. In establishing Inspire Me in 2009, Michelle wanted to create a place where people could find tools such as books, CDs, DVDs and card decks that would help them navigate this exciting journey called life. Discovering Abraham-Hicks and Wayne Dyer that year transformed her life, resulting in the creation of Inspire Me. Michelle's love of beautiful things means the store is constantly filled with an interesting and eclectic range of gifts. A variety of holistic services are offered daily by independent practitioners working out of rooms at Inspire Me. We invite you to experience Inspire Me and perhaps allow your life to be transformed. Visited 16th Jan with 2 young kids aged 8&9, youngest child couldn't ride indoor slides but other than that we got full access for the family for about $50. Great facilities & we had tons of fun on the outdoor slides & diving pool. Can take own food in, bbq facilities, volleyball net onsite so do take a volleyball if keen for a game of volley. Will definately visit again!

This indoor facility provides a wonderful active experience for children aged 4 -16. with multiple bouncy activities and a light airy and cheerful atmosphere, it will give traveling children a real work out on a rainy day. Very clean, awesome staff and pleasant smelling - some of these places are dark dingy and gruesome smelling - this place is none of these. The facilities are clean, toilets are well presented, smell clean and are light and airy. The food stall is sufficient with coffee as well as healthy snacks - there is no overpowering smell of hot chips - a refreshing change from other children activity centres. Best asset - the staff - lovely young men and women work at the centre and are actively jumping with the children, showing them tricks, encouraging their challenge by choice and role modeling good attitude. These teenagers are talented athletes, a delight to watch, are lovely with the kids, encouraging, positive and inclusive. Price $10 for a child - we stayed for 2 and 1/2 hours in school holidays for this price. the price was for one hour, but if the cetre is quiet, there appears to be little focus on the time spent. $2.50 special socks need to be purchased - but you get to keep these and use them another day if you return.
