... small, personnel, up close and best ... every seat is a great seat. As world travellers we always check the local entertainment scene in places we visit. Had no idea about Manual Theatre’s production of Frankenstein at the NACC. So good, so creative, so unique, in fact; One of the most interesting theatre production’s ever. PS: We see 6 plus theatre productions a year. Hamilton next up.

I'm relatively new to quilting, but decided to stop in during my visit to Yellowknife to pick up a souvenir. The staff is super friendly and showed me around the store, including their special Canada / Northern Lights fabrics. They seemed to have everything you could need as a quilter! I picked up some fat quarters and a pair of pillowcase kits that will help us remember our trip.

Situated in the capital of the Northwest Territories, the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre (PWNHC) produces exhibitions that tell stories about the land, people, and history of the NWT. However, the PWNHC is "more than a museum". In addition to its exhibits, education, collections, and conservation programs, the PWNHC houses the NWT Archives, provides technical, logistic, and financial support to individuals and organizations involved in cultural activities and the arts, and authorizes archaeological studies in the NWT.
We are from Edmonton, hoping to see aurora in Yellowknife. Yellowknife museum is free and very informative. Lots of information about the history, the animal you can find here, and more. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I booked a really great staycation workshop and found it to be fun, and informative. Also reasonably priced considering it's about 2 hours and you get a mug or glass which would be $30 anyplace else anyways. The owner, Matthew was fun and catered the workshop to my able 12yr old. A little history of Old town Yellowknife was thrown in for fun. Making it better could be to offer something with the use of one's newly crafted glass---like a coffee in your new mug or whatever. But otherwise---it was a blast and well worth the small expense of take part. And a super friendly thing to do which hasn't changed much since COVID--a rare thing to see these days. I hope these covid restrictions in the NWT are put to bed soon.

This building is stunning and definitely worth stopping to tour. I was one of two people in the tour group (likely because it was the dead of winter and early in the morning) and the tour guide answered all of the questions we could possibly ask about the building, consensus government, governance in the NWT, and relations between the NWT and Nunavut. I love legislature buildings and this was the most stunning one I have ever seen. I was even able to sit in the chairs the officials would sit in. It was a fantastic experience with a well informed guide.
