Casa Xalteva is a Non-Profit Spanish school with over 24 years of experience. In addition to our language school we also have a children's program which provides a safe and healthy environment to local children from poor families. All of our proceeds go towards the funding of this program. We commit to ensuring the best possible language tuition in which our students are welcomed into the Casa Xalteva family.
Everyone at Casa Xalteva from Gerald y Fatima (administrators) to Gaby (my teacher) have been very helpful and friendly. They customized the program to my requests, focusing on conversation and listening in my case. Furthermore Gaby agreed to my request to spend some of the conversation time in the streets, seeing the area and learning more about the culture in my one week of classes. I highly recommend this school and would return.

Based out of San Juan del Sur, Transporte Gaby is a family-owned and operated transportation service company focused on helping locals and tourists make the most of their time in Nicaragua. With us, you won’t miss a thing!
Used Gaby transport from Liberia airport to San Juan Del Sur, all went well, used again from SJDS to Managua to catch flight to Corn Island, also from Managua to Leon, Leon to SJDS and SJDS back to Liberia. Ricardo answers his phone when needed, and addresses concerns if any, not quite as quick on emails, did not get my emails at first so not sure what is happening with his website/emails. The prices are competitive, service impeccable, we will use his services again. Only a bit more expensive than renting a car, well worth it.

You may think that the Guadalupe Church is dirty and unkempt but it actually makes for great photos. We came right after the sun was setting in the blue hours, it makes for great photos. It is located on the end of the busy pedestrian street.

Cigar Factory and Cigar Lounge.
I was visiting Nicaragua for a 2 week vacation, and found Mombacho Cigars by accident. Of my two week vacation this was the highlight my trip. Having a tour of their location, making my own cigar, and the staff was friendly and courteous. My only regret was not leaving with more cigars and merchandise!

Beautiful place. I love the architecture and most of the art is very beautiful. A calm get away from the daily noise.
