Mount Desert (pronounced “dessert”) Island is the largest isle in Maine and the second largest on the U.S. Eastern Seaboard. Though it boasts a small residential community, Mount Desert claims more than two million visitors each year; all of whom are enamored with its quaint feel, stunning beaches, and access to saltwater and freshwater lakes. Popular water activities include kayaking, fishing, and canoeing, though many prefer to take in amazing sunrises and scenic vistas while exploring one of the island’s 25 trails.

Went with my 16 year old daughter, first time for either of us at improv...so went with no expectations but so glad we went. Both of us enjoyed it, the service and cozy atmosphere was excellent and the performers hilarious! Great job!

My husband and I stopped by during a cruise stop a few days ago. We were greeted by a very pleasant woman who explained that we could try as many olive oil and balsamic vinegar samples as we wanted! There were dozens and dozens of olive oils and balsamic vinegars to try. I particularly loved the extra virgin olive oil from Portugal, as well as the various fruit-infused balsamic vinegars. We ended up buying two bottles of a delicious white truffle olive oil and one bottle of amarena cherry balsamic vinegar. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The prices of the items are very reasonable considered their very high quality. I am planning on buying more items from their online shop.

A non-profit (your donation is tax deductible) organization dedicated to collecting and preserving any and all historic information and artifacts pertaining to the granite industry of Maine. In the museum you will find hundreds of old tools that were used in the industry, photos of the quarries in operation and the buildings and monuments which were erected from Maine's beautiful granites. Curator and founder Steven Haynes is there to guide you through this once important history of our state.
Wonderful visit and a lot of history to learn. Being an amateur "rock hound" and the daughter of a man who used to make the chisels used in quarrying, it was a great learning experience. The man that took us through was knowledgeable, fun, and just full of the little information that a person needs to make this an up-close and personal tour. Highly recommend a visit.

Excellent massage!! Amy Cahill was my massage therapist and she has a very good touch. I am an acupuncture physician and I know my body well....I can tell when a massage therapist also knows the body well by the way they do the massage. Amy was excellent. Also the space was COVID safe and it was cozy clean and comfortable. I go to Maine every fall to hike and I will go back to Eden next year! Thank you Amy.
