Stepping into a world of optical illusions, the larger than life murals allow people of all ages to come face to face with wild animals, scale rocky crevasses and surf the ultimate pipelines. Stretching over 1400 square metres, visitors can walk through a variety of different zones, each with its own spectacular theme. ArtVo illusions offers everyone the chance to experience the traditional art museum in a whole new way. It offers their patrons the opportunity, to not only touch the art but be the art by simply striking a pose in front of the camera. What is even more refreshing are the museum staff who encourage you to take as many photos and selfies as possible. They can assist you so you and your friends are free to become part of the art at all times. A fantastic idea for all ages!
This was our second ArtVo experience (having been to the one in Melbourne) and we had a great time. Our 3 kids (6yr old and twin almost 2 year olds) also enjoyed it, with the older one taking pics and posing and the littlies being happy enough looking around.

The Gold Coast's first and only craft Gin, Vodka and Whiskey distillery located just two minutes walk from the North Burleigh beach. Recreating age-old family recipes in memory of our Great Granddad Jack, each of our spirits are handcrafted and made from locally or nationally sourced raw materials. We have humbly won multiple prestigious industry awards since opening and invite you to join us on a tour or visit to the Tasting Room to try for yourself. Production is on full show to visitors from the Tasting Room and tours are available over the weekend. We also host a very intimate distillery experience weekly where you can make your own bottle of gin and enjoy an evening with our Head Distiller. Our Tasting Room has a BYO food policy (order in or bring your own cheeseboard). We're both family & fur baby friendly and often have local live music on weekends.
So our day started with a tour of the Granddad Jack’s distillery, with a gin in our hand and Dave telling his story. We learnt about the family history and how every aspect of the business came together from the building of the premises to the name on each bottle. We were captivated from the start and felt like we’d been welcomed into the family. Being that the venue is BYO food, we decided to whip out a little cheese board and Nicky kindly sat us at the bar to be a part of the action. Zac and Jimmy had the bar under control and had some great banter to keep us entertained for the day. Luke popped his head up briefly out the back, but boy oh boy is his coffee liqueur worth a try!! The kiwi singer (Joe I think) knew how to read the room when it came to song choices. Alongside the usual Sunday vibes, he did some originals songs and then some acoustic versions of songs you wouldn’t really expect to hear. It was all round a lovely atmosphere. We have friends coming up to QLD from VIC later this year and will definitely be bringing them here! Thanks again to the awesome family that is Granddad Jack’s! Sam and Blondie xx

While holidaying at the Gold Coast we had the opportunity to go shopping at Pacific Fair, it had a range of tremendous and vast range of named stores and my favorite a massive food court to tingle your trate buds. Great place to kill some time and your pocket.

I have visited Surf World several times over the years. I am an avid surfer who loves the history of this sport. There are always new items on display not that it matters as I really enjoy looking at some of the same items again and again.

We recently attended Eurovision, Australia decides at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. I am always surprised how well organised this venue is, flexible spaces, excellent amenities and food and beverage outlets and so easy to get to with plenty of parking. Publish transport (Gold Coast G Link) stops right outside the front door.

One of the better Cinemas on the GC. Very well priced with clean facilities. Seats have plenty of room. You can also take your own food into the cinema (within reason)
