We are a family run interpretive centre, just off the main road(R600)between Clonakilty and Timoleague/Kinsale).We are also located on the Wild Atlantic Way. We are open from Mid June to Mid September. At the centre we give presentations interpreting the life and times of Michael Collins. We begin with an audio visual presentation showing all the places connected with Michael Collins in West Cork, we also have a second audio visual consisting of archive footage. The most unique part of the presentation is our live lecture which is conducted by an expert historian who gives an account of the 'Big Fella's' life from 1906 until his death. We also have a full scale replica of the Ambush site in Beal na mBlath. We also do private Michael Collins tours.
We met Tim Crowley on a individual tour back in January so came back to see the collection he’s gathered over the years, it’s a great tour and we would recommend it to other Michael enthusiasts!! We have been to his Grave, the ambush site and really Tim has created an experience and his knowledge of Michael Collins is something to experience!!!

DeBarras is a third generation family run Traditional Irish Pub & restaurant famous the world over for its Folk Club & musical associations with Noel Redding (the jimi Hendrix Experience) & Christy Moore. Within its well worn walls you will find authentic musical memorabilia from all over the world.
We've been to this area many times but this time came specifically for the guitar festival. This is a great pub which from entering on the street seems to go on for miles. The music was great and the service was good. It was packed with music lovers, and we visited several times over the weekend.

Located in the coastal town of Clonakilty, on the Wild Atlantic Way, Clonakilty Distillery is a maritime distillery, owned and run by the Scully family. The Scullys have farmed this coastal land for eight generations, growing barley on the family land at the base of Galley Head Lighthouse. This unspoilt marine environment provides a complexity to the soil that permeates through to each individual grain. Using Water drawn deep from within the untouched rock formations of the ocean cliffs, coupled with the fresh Atlantic sea air, the Scully family have created a range of whiskeys that honour their unique provenance. Discover the people and place behind these award-winning products through a tour of this world class facility.
Went to the Gin School this was our second visit and it was excellent. Its a great evening and you end up with a bottle of gin at the end that you can actually day you distelled yourself. Staff are great and very informative and helpful. Followed with dinner in the Whails Tail onsite restaurant which was excellent and a good cocktail menu. A great night out from end to end.

This was a really nice surprise stop on a Sunday morning in Clonakilty. It's a really nice but short tour through the history of the company. Done very nicely. The samples and tea at the end were lovely and Pauline was the nicest woman ever and full of excellent local information! It's great to see a visitor centre for such an iconic Irish product. Really enjoyed the entire experience!

Friendly Local bar, serving tasty food 7 days a week. Great atmosphere for all live sporting occasions shown on our 7 screens. Regular weekend entertainment complimented by an expansive choice of Cocktail, Gin & Wine menus.
Visited Finns twice while on a short staycation in Clonakilty and surrounding areas. With the new regulations regarding the need to have food in bars it ticked all the boxes. The Buffalo wings were a perfect accompaniment to my pint of creamy Guinness, whilst my wife was full of praise for the nachos. Went back for a full meal the following evening and the gougons are highly recommended. Felt very safe in this new era of socialising with hand sanitiser on entry and well spread out tables. Staff could be seen sanitising regularly also. Will return and recommend .
