The church is set on the top of Long Melford Green just to the side of Kentwell Hall - also well worth a visit, along with Melford Hall (National Trust) just across the road. This church is stunning and with the lovely lady chapel at the end is the largest church in the country that isn't a Cathedral. The beautiful stain glass windows tell a story and include characters from Alice in Wonderland and Beatrix Potter. (Melford Hall is where Beatrix Potter used to stay with her animals and they house the original Jemima Puddleduck.) The church has guided tours and a shop. Ensure you visit this beautiful church on your walk around Long Melford - so many stay on the High Street and don't go any further than the bridge opposite the Bull Hotel. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside where you can walk for miles.

Had the utmost pleasure going into Rafi's and ordering some delicious spice mixes for a present for close friends. I was able to check about allergens with complete ease, and nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely fantastic service, great value, and will definitely be back again.

The James Andrews Golf School offers hourly, daily and multi day golf coaching for Beginner, Intermediates and Advanced golfers. Voted the UK's leading residential golf school by Today's Golfer Magazine The James Andrews School of Golf (Formerly based in Battle) has over 20 year experience helping golfers enjoy their sport
This was my second visit to the James Andrews School of golf at Stoke by Nayland. The golf school use a structured approach to the main elements of the golf swing and then join them together. This allows you to focus and not get overloaded with information. The benefits of this approach are that, with a little adaptation, the same basic movements can also be easily applied to chipping and bunker play. On this visit, I stayed at the excellent Stoke by Nayland hotel (which is only a few hundreds yards way) and with two 18 hole golf courses, you also have the (free) opportunity to put into practice, what you have learned in the morning. Joe, who was the coach on my course, was quickly able to identify the particular faults in the swings of those who were attending, and he has a great classic swing to emulate! The school use Trackman technology, which is an excellent facility that provides instant feedback on ball speed, attack angle, club path etc. Trackman also records a video of each shot you hit, so you can then see an instant playback. All very clever!!! I would very much recommend a visit to the James Andrews School of Golf, if you’re looking to take up or improve your golf.

We are a small family business who have built, created and designed our games using our own ideas and imagination. All of our games are handmade and combine your usual escape room puzzles, challenges and objectives with the addition of something a little unique and a little different. All of our multi-room games are jam packed with with immersive puzzles, challenges and most importantly fun!
Omg Scarlet was by far the BEST escape room we’ve ever done! So fun, so many puzzles that are nothing like you’ve seen before and the hosts are so passionate about what they do. We can’t wait to try more!

TEMPORARILY CLOSED - Gainsborough’s House explores the life and art of Thomas Gainsborough. One of the greatest artists of his age, he is renowned throughout the world for his portrait and landscape paintings. The house, ‘a most excellent Brickt Mansion,’ was bought by John Gainsborough, the artist’s father, in May 1722. Thomas Gainsborough (1727-88) was born in Sudbury and was baptized there at the Independent Meeting-House in Friars Street on 14 May 1727. He lived here until around 1740 when, as a young teenager, he was sent to London to pursue a career as an artist. He returned to Sudbury in the spring of 1749 until 1752 when he painted his celebrated Mr and Mrs Andrews. He never lost the influence of his native town and county. ‘Nature was his teacher, and the woods of Suffolk his academy,’ noted an obituary after his death in 1788.
Fortunately a previously unsatisfactory experience here has been superseded by much more pleasant visits - two this year, in fact, for different exhibitions. This is a very agreeable place to enjoy some quality art in an atmospheric building - there's also a lovely garden, and the staff are good. The house is closing for a major refurb in a month's time, so don't be caught out... it's to be hoped that this doesn't negatively impact on the 'atmospheric building'.

We spent an hour exploring the Guildhall, which has had an amazing history - it's transformed itself over the centuries over and over, happily rescued from decay by the National Trust and now home to excellent exhibits.

Really love this cafe, have now visited twice, once for lunch and then another time for breakfast, I can honestly say it's one of the best breakfasts we have had out and we tried many places! Lunch also very good - food amazing, they must have a very good chef. Good for vegetarians and families with children.
