On a Willy, the typical way of transportation in this region we drive to a coffee farm, passing through the beautiful landscape with emerald-colored coffee fields. The farmer awaits us here with a typical and delicious lunch and to show us around his farm. He will tell and show all about the life, the culture and sure everything about the coffee! When it’s time to leave an original 1950s Willy picks us up at the farm to bring us back to the main plaza of Pijao. We are a small boutique coffee farm that produces PURE traditional varietels of coffee using eco-friendly techniques. We do not talk about what we are planning to do. We show you the cool eco-friendly stuff we are currently doing. (We came 2nd in a sustainable tourism contest run by the Colombian Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism in 2013.) Our tour lasts 3 hours and covers the whole of the coffee process - from the cultivatation, to the harvesting , to the tasting and roasting of our coffee . We do an english tour a day at 9.00am and a spanish tour at 15.00pm Monday to Friday. Saturday we do an english tour at 9.00. Sunday is our day off ! The tour leaves from Plantation House reception and the farm is only 10 minutes walk away from Salento. We are currently tasting different roasts and different varietels.
