My wife surprised me with a stay at Sea Mountain. She packed the car and told me to get in and drive, all I had to do was follow her directions. As we were buzzed in the door, we were met by a staff member who gave us a tour and showed us to our room. Let me say this is not a place for the prudish, you are expected to be nude and shall we says folks are not shy about displays of affection! With that being said it was one of the most relaxing stays we’ve ever had anywhere. The pool and jacuzzi were totally enjoyable, the outside temperature was a tad warm 102 so the pool was the place to be. Throughly enjoyed seeing my wife enjoy the pool so much and the lounge chairs were a comfortable way to relax. The drinks, snacks, and food provided by Sea Mountain were great and the ability to order dinner and have it delivered was a good way to go because who wants to leave once you get there. The all female staff were extremely helpful and easy to deal with. It was a quiet time of week to be there, only 5 or 6 other couples which was fine and there are only 15 rooms which is also fine with us. Bottom line, would we do it again? Damn right we would! My wife enjoyed it so much she told me we’d be going back every 3 or 4 months and I can’t wait! Thanks for a great time Sea Mountain, see you soon.

What an amazing day I had at Living Waters Spa! It’s clean, extremely relaxing and the owners Jeff and Judy made me feel welcome and comfortable. I got the Sunday massage special with Kat, and received one of the most therapeutic and enjoyable massages of my life. It was incredible and affordable. The two mineral water springs are the perfect temperatures and appear very well maintained. I was able to soak up the sun in my birthday suit, and step in the healing powers of the springs or sauna at my leisure all day. I’ve never done anything like this (with the exception of a European vacation 25 yrs ago) so I was a bit hesitant about entering the venue. However, it is extremely private, and Sami (staff member) met me at the door, showed me the facility and gave me the rundown on clothing optional etiquette, so I knew exactly where to go and what to do. After a day of relaxation, Jeff and Judy invited all the spa/hotel guests (also first-time clothing optional folks) to partake in housemade cocktails and/or hibiscus tea in the hot tub-like hot spring. The day was relaxing, loaded with natural vitamin D, and liberating. I highly recommend Living Waters Spa, if you’re looking to add some extra awesome to your spa day or vacation.

Located in downtown Palm Springs (with a branch location in Palm Desert, CA), the Palm Springs Art Museum offers compelling art exhibitions from national and international artists. The museum's extensive permanent collection includes significant works by modern and contemporary artists, western, contemporary and glass artists, and features several temporary exhibitions throughout the year. The museum is open free every Thursday night and the second Sunday of every month. It also offers a range of theatrical and musical performances in its Annenberg Theater. Throughout all these programs, the museum is dedicated to creating memorable and inspiring interactions through educational and cultural opportunities.
Right in the middle of downtown Palm Springs..this little museum packs a big punch..An eclectic collection of art, a beautiful sculpture garden with a lovely cafe..It also contains the Annenberg Theater which is a beautiful venue for music. Don't miss it!

World's largest rotating Tram car. Opened in 1963, the Tram's 80-passenger cars travel along the beautiful cliffs of Chino Canyon from the Valley Station (elevation 2,643 ft.) to the Mountain Station (elevation 8,516 ft.) in approximately 10 minutes. At the top enjoy breathtaking views, Peaks Restaurant, Pines Cafe, a gift shop, nature exhibits, educational documentary theaters, and over 50 miles of hiking trails in the Mt. San Jacinto State Park Wilderness.
No surprise...Palm Springs is hot, hot, hot in August! The bummer is that many things are closed except on the weekends, but The Aerial Tramway and national park is not. It was an amazing experience and one I would highly recommend. Be sure to wear appropriate shoes (uh--not flip flops), and bring water. Even though the temp is up to 30 degrees cooler than down below, it is still plenty hot and dry. The ride up is a bit of a thrill, and if you are afraid of heights, I recommend sitting in the center section. At a minimum, take the Nature or Desert Trail hike at the top. It is only 1.5-2 miles and so beautiful. There are many viewpoints along the way. Tram starts at 10 a.m. and departs about every 10 minutes until 8:30 p.m. It is not cheap, but well worth it. Food, gift shop, and awesome viewpoints at the top!

Best shopping in Palm Desert. Many high end outlets but also many more affordable options. El Paseo is a beautiful street especially at night when the tree lights are on. In addition to great shopping there are also many world class restaurants that are well worth a visit.

The place to meet new friends is at this old-fashioned street fair with sidewalk performers, musicians, farmer's market, gifts and lots of food.
I happened upon this Palm Springs experience a few months ago, and have repeated it ever since. It's very pleasant walking down the main street among arts and crafts, good stands, a mini farmers market, locals walking their dogs, and a village atmosphere on a large scale. I specially like the tiles/coasters made from retro posters and have started a collection. They can be found at stelladivina.com. These and other excellent arts and crafts make it worth spending at least a couple of hours browsing, and sampling some of the street food while mingling with the locals and tourists.

Well worth it! Great trails! The 1 mile loop San Andreas Trail was maybe the most beautiful hike of my life! The hike to the seven sisters waterfall was amazing, definitely a bit strenuous. Bring good hiking shoes!
