October 10, 2021 Layne Dawes

A ski town that is also an authentic ranching center, Steamboat Springs is more down home than glitzy. Cowboy hats and ski boots are equally welcome on the city's friendly streets. The place where downhill skiing first flourished in the United States, Steamboat Springs remains a premiere slopes destination. But the town also offers outdoor recreation of every stripe and season. And after a long day hiking, schussing or shopping, you can relax in one of the natural hot springs for which the town was named.

A group of about 10 of us booked a 4 hour snowmobile tour, and we had an absolute blast!!! Our tour guide Brian was great, friendly, funny, and made us all feel safe. We got to ride on trails and also in open meadow areas which allowed us to practice our turns without fear. He also took us to some nice outlook areas where the views were beautiful and we all took pictures. The pricing is very fair, the booking process was simple, and the entire day was extremely fun! 10/10 recommend

Grizzle-T Dog & Sled Works is a dog sledding tour business located in Steamboat Springs, CO. Family owned and operated by Iditarod Musher, Kris Hoffman and his wife Sara. In business since 1996, we offer both “Learn to Drive” dog sledding tours where we bring you out and teach you how to drive your own team (typically 2 people/sled with one starting as the driver and 1 being the passenger and then switching half way around the trail) or “Guide Driven” tours where we drive the sleds for you and you can just sit back and relax and enjoy the beautiful Colorado mountains at the speed of dog. This is a wonderful experience. Learning to drive the sleds is so much fun and a unique experience. The countryside was over the top. The dogs love what they do and are so sweet. My group went on the 2-hour Beginner Action Tour and we had a blast. Our tour guide, Kevin, was the best tour guide I’ve ever had, and the tour itself was incredible. Great views, just enough excitement for get your adrenaline going, and long enough to get a feel for snowmobiling, but not too long to where you’re ready to just get the heck off. The HCT staff as a whole was extremely nice and super accommodating for all of our needs.

From the moment I walked in the door until the last minute when I left the building, this was a good medal experience. We had 14 runs on a bluebird day with no snow in the past 4 days - yet somehow our fantastic guides found us fresh lines each time. The setting was gorgeous, the meals top notch, and the skiing - PHENOMENAL!! Thank you for an amazing experience!
