18 club members set out on a 10 day tour of a lifetime of the NZ south island and it was fantastic mainly due to the great organizing skills of Mike and his team at Beatnik Tours. Mike and later Alex made this trip very memorable, from the great bikes supplied to the unique accommodation booked by Beatnik mixed with the great NZ scenery . All in all a great trip organized by great people and when a few club members at the end of the trip said "lets go around again" you know it was good. Thanks Mike and Alex and Beatnik Tours

From the dolphins on the boat ride to Ship cove, to the glow worms at Punga cove, the curious Wekas, the amazing kauri trees and many beautiful views of the Marlborough Sounds - the Queen Charlotte track offers a bit of everything. Staying at the Furneaux Lodge and Punga Cove added some unexpected luxury to the hike - highly recommended.! The track itself is very good (mainly forest covered) but not exceptional - however the combined experience of the hike, the accommodation, and enjoying the beautiful Marlborough sounds made for an excellent long weekend!
