Tradition collides with pop culture in Tokyo, where you can reverently wander ancient temples before rocking out at a karaoke bar. Wake up before the sun to catch the lively fish auction at the Tsukiji Market, then refresh with a walk beneath the cherry blossom trees that line the Sumida River. Spend some time in the beautiful East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, then brush up on your Japanese history at the Edo-Tokyo Museum. Don’t forget to eat as much sushi, udon noodles, and wagashi (Japanese sweets) as your belly can handle.

8-10 minutes walk from Komagome station. A clean and modern spa located in a quiet neighborhood just north of Komagome and Sugamo. Once you go through the front gate you're welcomed by a miniature Japanese garden. One thing I like about this place is that they generally keep their bath temperatures low unlike a lot of public baths in Tokyo. The main indoor bath is around 37-38℃, and the outdoor baths are around 40℃. Jet baths, sauna, Korean body scrub, cold water bath also included. Recommend visiting here for more than just a quick bath. They have both western and Japanese style communal rooms where you can order drinks and snacks and a massage spa on the 2nd floor - plus a resting room with a women's only area. I've never tried it, but there's a restaurant on the 1st floor too. Went through renovation this summer, but nothing much has changed. Quite strict about their 'no tattoo' rule. The facility itself is a bit small so might be best to avoid holiday afternoons. Overall worth the visit if you're staying nearby. You could just walk from Komagome station but they deploy shuttle buses from Sugamo station too.
