A friend and I took the KATE Airport Limousine Bus Express between Kobe and KIX in early afternoon on a weekday and were delighted with the service. Our hotel gave us the schedule for the bus, which had a stop just a 6-minute walk away near the Sannomiya Station. The transport leaves Kobe at various intervals between 04:50 and 22:00. Our one-way tickets required travel-day purchase and cost 2,000 ¥ (about $20 U.S. each). They proved to be easy to buy from a vending machine near the bus stop. An employee stowed our bags in the luggage compartment and we were the first to board the bus. This enabled us to get front seats, which afforded wonderful views of the bay. It took about 1 hour, with no stops, to reach Terminal 1 (International) at KIX. The seats were comfortable and the ride was smooth with little traffic on the road. About 10 other passengers joined us on the extremely clean bus.
