Museo Archeologico di Bisaccia

In a lot of these small southern towns in Italy, there are museums. Many are not worth it, this one is! The "Citra-Cairano Olive Grove Culture" necropolis (cemetery site from 7th century BC) was found on a hill just west of town center. Excavations of tombs started in 1973, and in this little, great, museum reside the artifacts! I really enjoyed seeing the fashions women in the 7th century, she was buried with her ornaments. Also, bronze spear points, pottery, bracelets, all kinds of ancient cool stuff. I just get this weird, cool feeling looking at these ancient artifacts, others don't (like my kids). This museum is in the ducal palace, so you might as well go to both! The view from the palace is spectacular. All explanations are in Italian.
