The Museum of the History of the City of Zduńska Wola is a facility with a historic track, in which collections are collected related to the nineteenth-century industrial and craft pedigree of the city. Our collection includes a number of exhibits related to the broadly understood material culture. We have collections in the fields of ethnography, art, technology, industry, handicrafts and trade as well as archeology and numismatics. The museum also has a branch of Skansen Lokomotyw in which railway monuments were collected.

The Radegast Station during the World War II was transformed into a station used to deliver food and industrial materials to the ghetto. The station’s building standing to this day was built in 1941 and in the same year the station became the final point of trains transporting Jews from western European countries and provincial ghettos from Wartheland. Currently the Station is under the care of the Museum of Independence Traditions and it is a must to see when you are in Lodz.

When you walk around the palace you have impression that the Herbsts' have just gone for a walk or elsewhere. We admire furniture, paintings, china etc. I didn't expect such a jewel in Łódź. You can find the Museum of Polish art in the former stables.

This is one of the most interesting museums I have visited recently. Each floor houses a special collection, including separate sections devoted to the regional history, then local folklore, customs and traditions. Outside the building, still within the museum premises, there is a tiny open-air museum.
