Staff were friendly when you met them but were missing alot of the time from reception. Rooms were cold and showers a bit too small with a shower curtain that only wanted to stick to your skin. Over all I wouldnt recommend it for a stay unless it was only for 1 night and you only really needed a bed to sleep in. At the back of the hotel is a carpark for the train station and while out smoking I seen a few rats run around it

Been staying in this particular Travelodge every week for the past three years and there’s always a friendly face behind the desk. Emma is especially upbeat and ensures she greets every guest with a smile and conversation.

My golf Society stayed at Calderfields over the bank holiday weekend, a large society of x23, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the staff from the catering, bar management, cleaning, and not forgetting receptionists and golfing team all to be thoroughly curteous and did their jobs to a high standard. Would I go again, most definitely.

As we arrived we were given a room after a long wait. Pubes all over the bathroom floor, sink and shower! Room was very dirty and carpets were not clean. ‘Radiator’ is very noisy’. Extremely loud banging music until the early hours and the room was freezing cold. Walls were extremely dirty. Our friends staying in other rooms had the same problems and blood on the wall. Staff were swearing and not happy when we complained. I did not feel safe leaving any of my stuff in my room as you can get access to rooms as soon as you enter the front door. The check in is totally different area. Would not feel safe bringing children. Noisy people staying in other rooms who clearly had wayyyyyy to much to drink. Left as early as we could and did not stay for breakfast as previously planned. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I think for what we paid this served us well . Plenty of parking and the pub looked tidy and welcoming from out side .. it is in a built up area and so had locals drinking inside as to be expected . This didn’t cause us any issues . Check in easily signposted and met by lovely lady who checked us in and told us everything we needed to know , Including access if arriving back late using key pad To which code is changed daily . For price paid can not expect reception to be manned 24/7 . Room was clean and tidy with Lovely crisp clean bedding . Bathroom spotless .. the room had Tv but no coffee making facilities.. but for price paid again wouldn’t expect . On return at end of nite was able to purchase bottled water at reception and went to our room . Bed was comfy and had a good nights sleep , didn’t experience any noise or odours from other rooms . Would I stay here again ? Yes …

Beautiful location and warm friendly welcome, the food is absolutely amazing and fair priced,we were staying at brook Marston farm for night and there was a wedding reception on and told us restaurant was closed so we walked here for couple of drinks and food, and in hindsight wish we had booked room here instead but next time we come up for weekend break will definitely book room here
