A magnet for skiers and hikers, these dramatic peaks – including the iconic Matterhorn – range from 3,000 to 15,000 feet and spread across three-fifths of the country. Abundant glaciers, scenic valleys and gorgeous alpine lakes add to the region's visual appeal. The Glacier Express train travels the 7.5-hour route through the Swiss Alps from Zermatt to St. Moritz, passing through fairy-tale villages and over 291 bridges along the way.

A charming, intimate and elegant hotel with twelve completely unique bedrooms, designed during the renovation of a patrician house originally from ‘600. The picturesque village of Vico Morcote with its stone houses, narrow alleys and arcades. A landscape of extraordinary beauty with a headland jutting out into the lake, enchanted forests and Mediterranean vegetation. Between lake and sky, just a few steps from our 172-hectare vineyard you can immerse yourself in this breathtaking nature, a place that tells its story and awaits your visit!
We planned to visit the hotel in November 2021 but cancelled as the whole family had COVID. The hotel had graciously converted our non-cancellable deposits into vouchers to be used within 1 year. That act in good faith was very much appreciated. When we arrived, there was a bit of a glitch with the package we reserved but it was quickly sorted out and we discovered we have been upgraded from our initial booking. Extra point for yet another generous gesture! To us, the hotel was a bit unexpected from its social media persona. In social media and websites, it is portrayed as a quiet and self-sufficient hotel with restaurants and winery nearby. The winery is within 10 minutes of walking distance but the restaurant (where they offer the wine tasting and dinner package) is a 10 min drive up the mountain on a precarious one-car street! Aside from another restaurant beside the hotel (which apparently do not belong to them...?), visitors must go to Morcote proper for food. Additionally, there was no spa or pool and the garden was quite small to spend the entire day at the property. As the hotel is built on a converted convent, the rooms can also be quite small. Our room is actually very nice with large bathroom and a fire place but no view to speak of. Which was OK as it was made up by the beautiful sitting room and terrace. The hotel would be better as a base for hiking or biking. After an energetic outdoor excursion, the beautifully restored hotel is a perfect oasis to relax before dinner. Overall, we love it. We recommend to join the wine and dine event at the nearby winery when offered. Food was excellent, truly showcasing the wine, and the location was just magical.

I was there with my kids and we loved it. The hotel is clean, the room nice, and being next to the bus stop is handy when you want to go up to the Verzasca Valley. Breakfast is humble but good. I always judge by the fruit salad and they preoare it with fresh fruits ??. A big plus point is the Rooftop terrasse. Nice view and the subsets look super. We had dinner there and it was really tasty. The service is always friendly and they are very helpful.

This is an excellent choice just at the Italian border. Easy to take 7 min by train to Como Centro. Brilliant location big value of money and an excellent breakfast! Definitely the best choice around the area!

We visited this hotel for the second time. The service is still perfect. The breakfast is big and tasty. The rooms are nicely decorated and well maintained. To have a parking lot and a small shopping mall under the same roof is also very handy.

We booked this hotel on the off-chance as we needed something for three nights which was reasonably priced in the Vallemaggia. We could not have chosen better. The hotel had everything we needed. The young couple who run it were delightful. The food both for breakfast and the evening meals was excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Vallemaggia.

We didn't know what we put us into. We just booked a room near the station. And there was nobody there. We had to figure out how to check in with what code, and managed to find our room that was smelling of toilet water. We had to close the toilet. They seem to be aware of the problem, since the toilet window was kept ajar. The room was small and ugly.

The YACHTSPORT RESORT is a maritime leisure and holiday facility in the Swiss Canton of Ticino, located on a prominent exposed lake property directly on Lago Maggiore. The lakeside environment around the YACHTSPORT RESORT is famous for its extraordinary water sport conditions; the local thermal winds ensure consistently ideal sailing weather. The facility offers, among other things, a holiday hotel, a motorboat and sailing school, and a Mediterranean marina with comfortable storage spaces for sport dinghies, as well as maintained berths for yachts up to 50 feet long.
Only stayed the one night, but saw enough to warrant an excellent score. We had a balcony room overlooking the beautiful Lake Maggiore. The room itself was spotless, with a neutical theme. Breakfast was had on the terrace, with an excellent choice of food. We were given free bus tickets by the hotel to get to Ascona for the Jazz festival. On our return, we opted to get a taxi instead. Big mistake! CHF50 for the 10 minute journey!!

Clean rooms, friendly staff. Nice breakfast and dinner. All quit basic, but friendly staff made it all OK. We were here 1 night as a stop over tot Italy. Recommended. Beds were not very comfortabel and bath room very tiny. But for 1 night no problem.

We’ve been to the Maloja Klum hotel a few times over the last 2 years and it honestly just gets better and better. How do you improve on perfection? We don’t know … because it is all just so perfect. The service is always with a smile … the managers, restaurant staff etc … are just wonderful. Professional and just a lovely lovely team of people who work very hard. We always feel so well looked after… the meals are just stupendously delicious… a perfect combination of taste and visual heaven created with passion. The chef is amazing! The rooms are all different and each time we visit we have a very comfortable room a good nights sleep. The Nordic ski track is just a few steps away and the buses run frequently if you want to go into St.Moritz . Everything is just heaven..we’ll be back again. Thank you to everyone at the Maloja Klum hotel for making our stay with you so enjoyable.

It is a nice guesthouse, can recommend it to everyone. It is located in the city center of Fluelen, not far from Urnersee. We stayed just one night but overall it was very pleasant. We had a great room with a bath and big double bed. You can chill in a garden or try Spanish tapas in the restaurant Linde. breakfast is fabulous! We have got a plate with a couple of different ham, one cheese type, yoghurt, amazing fresh bread, croissant, 3 various jams. If you need parking, inform the hotel staff about it in advance! It seems that we were lucky, came one of the first and took parking slot. I do not know where all other people parked their cars.
